Also, Thousands of people tour/Road trip/camp/backpack the US in a van or RV every year. Doesn’t make you homeless. It’s not just for millennials.

My friend from high school didn’t go straight to college and screwed around for a couple of years. She followed a minor league baseball player to spring training in Canada. She lived with me for a bit. Worked at hooters. She’s now the CFO of a small bank and making 450k.

You are so dam snobby and judgey.

Okay here's a less elitist question - why aren't either of these two 22/23-year-old's in trade school? Military service? On-the-job medical training?

Exactly. Hers made me laugh with the “she could have walked out the forest into a mental institution.” Cognitive dissonance is real folks.

Because they’re having fun traveling the country before slaving away for 30 years

Np so kids that age aren't allowed to travel? This isn't a new thing and in fact JFK talks about "touring" Europe! Life is more about trade school/college. Soon enough life will be drudgery.

If they weren't in school or trade/job training - surely they've been 'having fun' since they turned 18? 5 years wasn't enough?

Here's a thought...maybe if they weren't living in a 30-square foot van in the desert and calling home to beg their parents to send them takeout and actually being responsible with the pursuit of education or a career, one wouldn't be dead (presumably) and the other on the run for murder (presumably).

You’re talking to someone who is starting from “the victim is to blame” and is working backwards from there. She will throw absolutely anything against the wall to see if it sticks.

Agree with another PP that this is someone who is probably waiting to see if Scott Peterson answers her letter, lol

So? Lots of people do this and dont end up being murdered. People are human and make mistakes and clearly hindsight 20/20. Sounds like you want to rationalize how it could never happen to your family members so you are being unfairly judgmental

Just saw that Brian is now missing. As I read the headlines over the past few days I worried that he would kill himself and the truth would never be known. I’m wondering if that’s what happened.

The fact that the family waited three days to tell police is beyond the pale. Perhaps they wanted to make sure he had made a clean break first.

Wretched people.

Notice how she acts in the video?

She seems obsessed with the camera. It’s as if she’s in love with the camera.

And everything “looks” perfect. Too perfect. Like someone made it all up; someone obsessed with mere appearances.

Why do I get the feeling many YouTube “creators” suffer from narcissism or some other underlying mental illness? (Ie Coco Briscoe, for one).

Well yeah. Just like most Instagram mom-bloggers who obsessively catalog their entire lives. Does that mean they all deserve to die?

Um - how in the h*** did you get “she deserved to die” out of that ??!?

And is anyone even sure she is dead at this point?

A very isolated institution where none of the staff have realized that there is a massive search going on for her and thought to mention to the police that they have a patient matching the description. Or I guess she has enlisted them in her conspiracy of silence. Oh, and they also apparently offer free services.

I’m sure she’ll just claim it’s all somehow because of HIPPA though.

Because before they settle down they are taking a road trip? What don’t you get? When did it stop being ok to Be young, carefree, adventurous and maybe a little reckless? Isn’t your early 20s for figuring your crap outage that often entails making not so great decisions? What’s the difference here than mommy and daddy paying for you to backpack across Europe the summer before college?

Maybe PP got it from all of your other nutjob posts in this thread, vilifying the girl for stuff like trusting this guy and traveling with him and not going to college?

DP.

It is true that many do this without being murdered. John Steinbeck travelled the US in a similar size camper with his dog Charlie; he even wrote a book about it.

But we all focus on the trips that turn into disasters - like that kid in Alaska who tried to live off the land while camping in an old school bus.

Or this immature 22/23 year old couple, who both suffer from mental illness.

Maybe they ought to have sought treatment before cooping themselves up together in a tiny space under challenging conditions , while daily trying to portray an unreal, care-free, super happy, la la land internet image of their trip.

And sadly, I feel obliged to add the disclaimer for certain nit wits on this board: no, this does not mean I believe she deserved to die (if she is even dead).
