Anyone watching Mare of Easttown?

So are we thinking the deacon is the father? That would be a good reason to pretend it’s Dylan’s.

They’re certainly pointing us in that direction, but it seems like deacon as both father and killer would be too easy.

My wild theory at this point (probably to be debunked in the next episode) is that the killer is Mare’s sidekick detective. He heroically found the body of a missing girl in a case elsewhere by supposedly using slick detective skills that are grossly absent now. “Oh, I knew that a suspect was familiar with the dump place because of his job and I just figured it out because I was literally obsessed” but he can’t even figure out the basics of how to process a simple crime scene in the current case.

Generally agree, but she’s desperate to keep her grandson and people do dumb things for those they love. Can’t see clearly in those cases.

yeah, but nah.

Hmm...interesting. Could also be he solved it through dumb luck and is embarrassed to admit it.

I am bad with faces, but are there three guys that look alike or maybe I feel asleep some and really confused..

Who was the guy at the bar? Is that Darryl's father?

Who threw the bike? The deacon?

Who had the hoodie on in the deleted video? Also, when & where was the video shot?

Franks finances son, has he been around before or any other times in this episode? He was the one on the swing Mare's mother said was the one to blame.

I may just watch episode again.

I’m wondering if we’ve not met the murder yet.

The guys who look alike are all fathers around the same age - three of whom are COUSINS. The forth is Frank. Then there's the Deacon and then there's hoodie guy who lives opposite the old lady and vandalizes her fence.

I think you would benefit from a rewatch.

Why not shake down a random druggie and steal his/her drugs and plant them on the DIL? "Today's your lucky day, Hophead, I'm not going to arrest you, I'm just taking your drugs away." So much easier and cleaner than rifling through the evidence room...Mare, where is your thinking cap?

^Same.

Who are the people (person) wandering around the woods super early in the morning to discover dead/wounded teens. I think with Erin it was someone walking dog, but did the say with Dylan?. Maybe father told one of his cousins right after but in drunken state forgot. Cousin anonymously notified police to locate Dylan, then next morning pretended to be surprised.

No reason to believe the murdered teen mother and the disappeared druggie/prostitute are related. Elle was left to be found.

Erin shot off finger, wonder if she went home, drunk dad shoots at her for whatever reason, she hops back on bike to get help, ends up with killer.

Isn't the county cop an out-of-towner? How would we have so many buddies at a local bar to hang out with. where he ran into Mare before her lame drug planting.

Also, her ex needs to move away from the house next door. Might limit her unprofessional busts ups into his house.

It was a REUNION. Do you have ADHD because you're really not paying attention to this show. It's not rocket science.

Sorry I went the bathroom and missed that one part. You may want to go as well to remove the stick from your a@#.

If you dont have anything productive to add to an ENTERTAINMENT thread you may want to log off.

It’s gotta be the priest, right? Why else would he be introduced? Frank will be suspected. Paternity results will reveal that neither Frank nor the teenage boy is the father. It’s the priest.

DH, who’s from PA, appreciates the Rolling Rock, Yuengling, and accents.

Mare’s dead son was on the autism spectrum, so maybe Mare is, too.

Those Italians are sure portrayed as hotheaded, huh?
They're just littering the screen with red herrings on this show.
