I am really enjoying this series. Question for people who are from Delaware/Chester county Pennsylvania...Does the show accurately reflect the culture there? Or is it like watching The Wire and thinking that accurately describes Baltimore?

I have never felt more represented on screen than i do with Kate Winslet's portrayal of Mare. We are the same age. Similar circumstances (dealing with aging parent, family problems, teenagers). I am always at least mildly annoyed if not severely pissed lol. I feel SEEN.

I am from that area of PA and its pretty darn accent! Also, I am impressed with her attempt to do the Delco accent. Its not easy and she is pretty much pulling it off. Can't wait to watch the next episode!

On the contrary, I thought in episode two it showed how pretty she still was when she gussied herself up to see Guy Pierce.

And shows how impactful hair and makeup are!
