The fact that most of the people listed here illustrates the fact that you all don't understand what a narcissist actually is. The reality is that everyone has narcissistic traits. Someone with NPD takes it to an extreme. It's not simply having an ego or being insecure.

I’ve always known that all high-level politicians are narcissistic and that this must include Barack ... but I want to believe he is the one exception ... it literally seems impossible though; like if you believe you can and should be the leader of the free world, something has to be off about you.

You can't assume actors in the public eye are narcissists, because it their job to promote themselves. They have to promote themselves. What we see is not always what is.
