Celebrities and Politicians we suspect are narcissists.

Also, don’t forget: she f**ked Harvey Weinstein for her Oscar. Then she had the audacity to get out in front of the *me too movement because it fulfilled her narcissistic supply. She is disgusting.

What proof do you have re: Weinstein? You sound like a loon.

I get why people think that, because she has a very measured, calculating way of approaching her public image that can come off as disingenuous. I found the Oprah interview fascinating because it was so carefully orchestrated to do exactly what it did, which then leaves you wondering if it was a trick.

But I personally think she’s genuine— I think she loves her husband, that she wasn’t anticipating the level of vitriol in the UK press or the weirdness of the BRF, and that she has struggled with mental health as a result. I think she is just also a very guarded person who is sharing this info because she knows it’s the best way to control the narrative about her. It comes off as calculating (and is) but I think reflects her real experiences. I don’t think that makes her a narcissist.

Huh, I had more MM thoughts on this Saturday morning than I might have expected!

Totally agree. People are off the rails about MM.

Why, because her crazy sister says so?

What are you trying to say here? Penultimate isn't the word you want.

Exactly! God forbid a woman be successful, she must be a narcissist.

Not all famous women are narcissists. But being a woman doesn’t prevent you from being a narcissist. This should be obvious.

Dp, but I’m thinking this was an autocorrect. Either way, I’m pretty sure everyone agrees that Tom Cruise makes the list.

Well, he thinks he's some kind of Scientology Messiah. If that's not an overinflated sense of self-importance I don't know what is.
.

I see. He is a narcissist because you don’t like his religion. (I would argue that he actually IS incredibly important in Scientology)

I do in fact have a problem with dangerous cults. But the cult didn't make him a narcissist. He was sucked into it BECAUSE he's a narcissist.

I don’t know quite how to classify Tom Cruise, but I will never be able to shake the fact that Katie Holmes’s attorney father had to maneuver essentially under the cover of night to extricate her from that marriage with their daughter. Forget all these other celebrity lawyers, I would take Katie Holmes’s dad over them any day.

OMG, ITA. Her ability to extricate herself from that marriage is why she's been on my list of celebrities I'd invite to a dinner party for years-- and yes she should bring her father with her.

That was quite amazing.

A more interesting thread would be politicians or actors who are NOT narcissists. I don’t think there are many.

Completely over the top..We are all now apparently supposed to feel impressed and admiring that this 45 and 51 year old with 4 marriages between them are pulling back to try to work it out, like it's this wonderful achievement versus what mature adults do in real life. And what both have taken decades to learn. Nothing is real unless it is in the public domain...I can't stand her especially. She posted pictures of her daughter crying from the breakup and spinning it that her and her ex were wonderfully present.

You can tell the narcissists when they host snl and every other skit centered around how hot she is. It wasn't funny and the writers know it isn't funny. It's what she expected the skits to be about.

Definitely Meghan Markle. It's so obvious, I'm surprised so many people are blinded. Time will tell I guess.
