Celebrities and Politicians we suspect are narcissists.

Obama and Maggie Smith. That might be it.

And until then, everyone who points out that she is will be deemed crazy and/or racist.

I agree. She's definitely a narcissist.

Symptoms
Have an exaggerated sense of self-importance.
Have a sense of entitlement and require constant, excessive admiration.
Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it.
Exaggerate achievements and talents.
Be preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate.

Btw, why wouldn’t his kids love him? Kids love their parents, sometimes even when they are abusive. Also millions of maggots love him like a father figure.

1) Meghan Markle needing and using her title
2) Meghan Markle expecting special treatment from the press and royal family. Clearly needs admiration - tries to portray herself as a modern day Mother Teresa. Constantly releasing SJW videos.
3) See #1, also needs her son to be a Prince
4) Talks about how she gave up her career to be with Harry. Uh huh. A third rate show on a 4th rate network that was coming to a close and she wasn't even a main character.
5) Meghan2024, she's actively trying to get Feinstein's seat in the Senate and she wants to run for President in 2024

You are truly unhinged.

Yep. I’m sure there are questionable cases, but this is overwhelming true. (And I say that as someone who used to date a person who is now a current Senator.)

I agree --all of them. My entire career has been working for politicians in a non-political role. They are different from you and me. Every single one of them I've encountered.

I do not think Jimmy Carter is a narcissist, but I will concede it was a different time.

I think Matthew McConaughey may be even though it breaks my heart. He definitely has an over-inflated sense of his own importance. But a governor's race between him and Beto would be EPIC.

Well, he thinks he's some kind of Scientology Messiah. If that's not an overinflated sense of self-importance I don't know what is.
.

I see. He is a narcissist because you don’t like his religion. (I would argue that he actually IS incredibly important in Scientology)

I do in fact have a problem with dangerous cults. But the cult didn't make him a narcissist. He was sucked into it BECAUSE he's a narcissist.

I don’t know quite how to classify Tom Cruise, but I will never be able to shake the fact that Katie Holmes’s attorney father had to maneuver essentially under the cover of night to extricate her from that marriage with their daughter. Forget all these other celebrity lawyers, I would take Katie Holmes’s dad over them any day.

OMG, ITA. Her ability to extricate herself from that marriage is why she's been on my list of celebrities I'd invite to a dinner party for years-- and yes she should bring her father with her.

Yes, that $h!t was crazy, and awesome.

And I don't know what video or other evidence they had on hand, but it must have been REALLY BAD for her to basically get full custody of Suri. Dude cut Nicole Kidman's kids out of her life.

Meghan Markle
Gwenyth Paltrow
Madonna
Possibly: Donald Trump. (I say possibly because his adult kids seem to really love him and that is not typical of a narcissistic parent)
Jennifer Lawrence

So many to list...

I have never seen anything I think of as love between Trump and his children. Love and loyalty are not the same thing by any stretch of the imagination. The entire family runs on the idea that everyone is out to get them.

Are you kidding? Obama even referred to himself as a megalomaniac in People Magazine and his latest memoir is self-indulgent and full of self-importance (700 pages??)......additionally, he's not nicknamed the deporter in chief by the Latinx community for nothing..mass surveillance, unchecked drone strikes, his support and aid in the war on Yemen that has caused the deaths and starvations of thousands of innocent civilians and children and is the worst humanitarian crisis in recent history. I campaigned for the man and voted for him twice and I think he's AWFUL now that I've seen the extreme damage he's inflicted on innocent people. Which is what we mean when we say all politicians are narcissists--they have ZERO problems doing any of this stuff. He loves the narc supply.

As a PP mentioned above, I think the only former president who is potentially NOT a narcissist is Jimmy Carter, and that's it.

That was quite amazing.

It was amazing, but I don't think it points to narcissism in Tom Cruise. It points to the scary insanity of Scientology.

FTR, there was a really good thread in the Politics forum a few months ago about politicians who are really good people. Lots of personal testimonies among the posts.
