I actually baked 3 pizzas and a loaf of bread last night to use up as much as i could, eating one or two that i missed doesn't bother me...but then i tossed the rest because i don't want MORE bugs laying eggs in my pantry. I've dealt with larva getting everywhere before, I am just not OK with it and would have to be seriously food insecure to take that risk. |
It's not about running out of food -- it's about not going out. How can anyone still not get that after all this time??? |
You really deserve an academy award for all your drama. I'm not infecting anyone you nitwit by going to the grocery store 2-3xs a week. |
Good for you. I will eat fresh fruit and vegetables. The strawberries are great right now. So is asparagus. |
Dumb as a doorpost. Glad you are not the one giving us official guidance -- I'll believe the doctors and scientists who are advising us to hunker down right now instead of you. It's a shame that you aren't just risking your own health, though. You're keeping us all from succeeding in this fight. |
Ok drama queen. |
People need to eat. Not everyone has a good delivery option. |
We are trying to eat down the freezer, so I am just rounding things out with sides, fruits and veggies. Bread, milk, the usual staples
My 14 yo DS is doing lots of baking so some staples for him too |
I’m going to the store tomorrow. We have enough to last two weeks, not to last a month. And no one seems to actually know when DC’s peak will be. Given that I haven’t been able to buy toilet paper or sanitizers in a month, either online or at a store, I’m not going to risk running low on food |
+1 |
They are saying that to scare people like those who were at the DC Fish Market and to cover their A's. People that actually understand a) how to social distance and b) the probability of encountering someone at a grocery store who will infect you can feel pretty comfortable going to the store to feed their family without worrying that they are sociopaths. |
The same doctors who swore 3 weeks ago that masks were ineffective and no one should be using them? |
If you are going to the store 2-3x a week, you are not able to comprehend what is going on. You are probably really fat too. You sound awful. This is the time to get your food addiction under control. If you plan well, you can go 7-10 days without a grocery store run. It's really not hard. And yes, I know someone who got Coronavirus from the grocery store. If anyone else has to get it, I hope it's someone like you that is so careless and inconsiderate. |
5'9" and 140#s. Walked to the store today, had to grab a head of cabbage for the coleslaw I wanted with the pulled pork I smoked yesterday. Sorry, I don't eat out of boxes and freezers like you. Enjoy your heart disease. |
Seltzer, and some kind of meat for my cat. |
