| I used to think they were motivated by grief. Now it seems pretty obvious they are motivated by greed and saw dollar signs the second she died. They and their lawyer are absolutele disgusting trash. I'm glad I don't know them in real life. |
I hadn’t heard what the parents do for a living but you’re correct, they obviously know what they’re doing. Disgusting behavior. |
I think that Chloe was very much adored and well cared for by everyone in that family. I also think that their grief is very real and overwhelming. They are still in a state of disbelief and denial that a person that they trusted to look out for Chloe put her in harm's way and is directly responsible for her death. The grandfather's story doesn't make a bit of sense to me but he stated right after he dropped her that he thought there was glass. |
That's what THEIR LAWYER says. That's not on the video b/c the video doesn't have audio. |
I bet if they hadn't immediately lawyered up and brought up suing, grandpa wouldn't have been arrested. Ah well, they deserve everything coming to them in the after math. Hopefully their greed isn't getting in the way of how they are helping their son deal with this accident |
You are an awful human being. These people are likely out of their minds with grief and grasping at anything to make sense of it all. |
Nah. They refuse to see the video. They refuse to accept facts. They are concentrated solely on this ridiculous lawsuit. They are pathetic |
That's what makes a lot of us question: are those tears real, or are they now for show -- to draw the public to their side? I'm sure they are genuinely sad -- but are they publicizing their grief to create an outcry for payment? It kind of feels like they are using their tears as a strategic legal weapon because they don't want to consider that maybe the guy who put the girl in the window and leaned her out the window twice could have some responsibility here. |
I think that they are both sincerely grief stricken AND they have focused their energy on winning this lawsuit. I think their lawyer has advised them not to watch the video because it does not bolster their claim of the cruise ship doing anything wrong plus it helps to prevent the video from going public. |
| I wonder if Grandpa has seen the video. |

So I can't stand the parents. I think half of this is a media ploy to get sympathy for their lawsuit.
But I really don't get the lawyer. How is this all ethical?! He had seen the tapes. He's seen the grandfather go to the window and look out, pick her up and stand her by the open window and lean over to look out and then sitnher on the rail and look out before she fell. How can he see that video and still make the claims he's making?! While I think the parents are grieving scumbag money seekers, the lawyer is also preying on that. |
No. These people have been motivated by greed since the day she died. Their lawsuit was announced the day after she died. They are the awful people, not the PP. Terrible people like this deserve to be called out. -DP |
I know. The parents not looking at the video doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. The lawyer has seen it, yet, he is still claiming that grandpa couldn't tell that the window was open? I'll bet you can tell on the video that the window is open. They are just trying to pressure RC into settling. |
Yup they saw dollar signs the second she died. While most of us would have been in a state of complete and utter grief to the point of not being able to function, they lawyered up for a lawsuit. Despicable people deserve being called out. |
If there is a dime to be made (and there usually is when you are dealing with a mulitmillion dollar company), there is a lawyer somewhere willing to make an absurd argument. That's why some are known as "ambulance chasers." (and I am a lawyer, though not practicing). |
