you sure you didn’t time travel to 2010? |
op said government associations. I have no idea what that means. |
| OP here. I am hanging out with professional, non-MLM, government employees at a conference. I don’t want to be more specific because I don’t care to out myself or my association. |

Listen, it is quite obvious the vast majority of women on this board talk a big game about knowing "fashion" and "style" and don't know much about either. I'd be willing to be you would be shocked to see what most of them think is style if you saw them in person.
Which is a good way of saying, stop listening to ladies on this board. Wear what you feel. Take your fashion clues from what you see in stores, what you see that you think looks good on the street. Not a message board of internet strangers. |
| I’m not sure tall boots with a suit was ever in. I’m seriously trying to picture this.....I still see tall boots over skinny jeans and with skirts tho. |
To you. I have been seeing this look around and it's fine. You'll get used to it |
Ugh yeah, I actually like the looks of those photos. OK - well, I stand (har har) corrected, when I said in a previous thread that I thought tall boots were done. |
Menuer!! One of my favorite DCUM misspellings yet. So fancy. |
What does her being African American or Asian have to do with whether someone can pull of tall boots? |
Nope 2003. |
| I observed a grad student in my class today and she had knee high leather boots over her regular pants. Not leggings. Then I remembered this thread. Then I noticed that she is from Kentucky! |
Like this?

A horsewoman? |
I am above pp who saw a student with high boots. Not like the woman in the pictures. Those are skinny jeans, her were regular and all scrunched. Skinny jeans would be a much better option for the look she was going for. |
This my go to look and I get compliments. |
