Baby sitter’s daughter looks like DHs side of the family

Yes. I'm stuck here, too.

BTW: my sister is a redhead. No other redheads in the family. I guess I should DNA test her.

MY GOD. You people from flyover states! People in the big bad city adopt children when they're OLDER. OP could have adopted at 50--she could still need a nanny babysitter.

I did.

If you want to control the inheritance he has to die first. If you die first he can change the will to suit himself, because you will be gone. Same thing if he does first - then you can change the will to suit yourself.

do a stealth DNA test. It happens. Ask Maria Shriver.

OP can you clarify? And what do you mean you're not "paranoid"? I would dna that kid so fast it would make your head spin, lol...if the resemblance was that similar.

Our child is adopted. Years ago I would have done DNA right away, but honestly now, I am reluctant. My head is racing. Thinking about things like property being split and so in. Our own child’s inheritance. I simply don’t want to know. However I might not be totally in control of that. BTW it’s not just hair color, it’s complexion.

Wait. So you think that possibly your infertile 51 year old husband slept with the 19 year old babysitter and knocked her up, and produced a genetic twin to his mom that nobody's told you about?
And y'all are wealthy enough that you're scared to lose your inheritance for your adopted kid, but not wealthy enough that this babysitter isn't going to sue for paternity testing / DNA / child support and 1/2 of everything?

What is so remarkable about her kid's complexion, unless he's a different race and the kid's alleged dad isn't?

Why would the babysitter not agree / admit if there's inheritance / $ / property / child support involved?

NP idiot. The father may be fertile but the wife isn't. Infertility isn't always because both partners are infertile.

Also she said her husband is 55 not 51. Can you even read?

Apparently you don’t. The potential love child is now 4yrs old so the poster subtracted that from 55.

OP can you please provide more info about the babysitter? Is she still your sitter? Did you keep in touch? How did you meet her child and come up with your unhinged conspiracy theory? Does your husband know you are Facebook stalking old babysitters? What other drama and dirt are you digging up or fabricating from snippets of gossip or online stalking?

Good one!

Adjudicating parentage is a lengthy process. A court will not automatically overturn a "legal" father who signed the birth certificate. If it's after two years not easy. Probably won't change the child's name either.

OP what state are you in?

Live in PA.
Do you mean that if she comes forward demanding support and so on, DH wouldn’t have to pay?
What about inheritance.

If she proves paternity, of course he would have to pay child support and if he has a child under 18 when he dies, there might be rules for making claims against his estate if she's not left an inheritance as a minor. You shouldn't rely on advice you get on this forum (including mine). I'd discreetly get a hair sample and do a DNA test if they have ones you can buy, do everything yourself, and never tell a soul. Not even your BFFL.

Honestly, this is what makes me believe that he could have done it. Never accepting the child that we have.

Do your DH doesn't accept his adopted child? He sucks OP. Secretly do the DNA test so you can figure out how to protect your child.

Do you not understand the "fly over states" is pretty offensive. How do you know where that poster resides. Besides lots of dumb comments from people all over.

I would do this. Then you can decide when or if you tell anyone. I would want to know. OP wouldn't be concerned if her only clue was the resemblance.

What was she thinking? Trusting an East European trash who is republican?

For those suggesting some stealth DNA - you’re sick and disgusting. Vilolating a child’s autonomy is horrible. If I ever found out someone did that to my child someone would be putting money on my prison commissary card for a long time.
