Trump started out today blaming previous American administrations and the Mueller probe for US - Russia levels being very bad. But, standing next to Putin at their press conference, Trump repeated those charges and more. Trump attacked Democrats and the FBI, he didn't defend the US from repeated outrageous allegations about America from Putin, and failed to challenge Putin on a single issue.

The bottom line is that Trump sided with Putin against his own government and people.

Get your story straight - he didn’t side against his own government, he sided against Democrats. This what he ran on, and he still stands by it. He didn’t side against his people- actually the statement he made is supportive to the people who elected him.

Trump sided with Putin against his own DNI and intelligence services. It is amazing what Trumpsters will condone in defense of their dear leader. Trumpism really is a cult and you really would defend him from shooting someone on 5th Avenue.

It's the selective editing of Fox News that makes this worse. They're not covering any of Trump's horrific statements saying he believes Russia as much as he believes the US.

Are they really not covering/reporting his full quotes from the press conference?

Is this forum open only for Americans in DC area? I have not seen this in the rules.

"My people came to me...they said they think it's Russia. I have President Putin. He just said it's not Russia. I will say this, I don't see any reason why it would be."

That's how a press conference sounds when an Asset stands next to his Handler.

I do have a serious question though for those of you and truly think you are witnessing the destruction or demise of America: What is it exactly that you fear is being destroyed? Do you really think that all the freedom you enjoy (and always have because nobody has been able to destroy it up to this point) is truly at risk? You'll have a new President in a few years. Even if something gets broke, it will be fixable.

I don't personally feel America is "destroyed," but America "has" been compromised, specifically around one of the most critical democratic institutions: elections. There's not currently any public evidence that votes were changed, but people who don't feel the attacks on the DNC and release of stolen emails did *not* influence voters and influence the election are being disingenuous. This election was won by Trump by 70K people, that's it.

So, I think there is reason to be concerned that this is only the beginning of what may be compromised, as long as Congress sits idly by and/or Trump continues to pretend Putin is a friend.

The young woman who leaked the info about state election systems actually being compromised is the only person who has gone to jail so far for anything related to the 2016 election. Why was the govt so desperate to keep that report a secret?

The only explanation for supporting Trump after this press conference has to be you don't think GRU were the actual hackers per the DOJ indictment last week, or you sincerely believe that the GRU conducted the hacks but Putin didn't have knowledge of it/order it.

Which is it Trump supporters?

Fox is panicking because they don’t know how to spin this.

Who knew that having an imbecile as a president would be so dangerous?

But he's black, so the GOP will ignore him.

I don't like his performance today either. But he will never be your typical politician. He says what's on his mind.

Imagine Obama at a summit with Iran, attacking Wolfowitz, Cheney, the CIA, but not the Iranians.

Sure, he says what's on his mind - and the thing on his mind is siding with Russia over America. This is really indefensible. Even Fox isn't trying to defend it, though I'm certain soon they will find a way to twist this into being all Obama's fault.

They're not defending it, but they're ignoring it. So his supporters don't even hear the Treason talk.
