I know a lot of this is covered in the Putin Summit thread, but this is really so extraordinary that it deserves its own thread. Trump started out today blaming previous American administrations and the Mueller probe for US - Russia levels being very bad. But, standing next to Putin at their press conference, Trump repeated those charges and more. Trump attacked Democrats and the FBI, he didn't defend the US from repeated outrageous allegations about America from Putin, and failed to challenge Putin on a single issue.
The bottom line is that Trump sided with Putin against his own government and people. |
We are witnessing the destruction of America. |
Truly the most appalling thing I have ever seen. I’m wondering how the GOP will polish this turd. |
It is truly unbelievable. He's ****ing on the US while the Russian Foreign Ministry is doing a dance of joy.

Every Republican who looks away from this debacle and says nothing needs to be voted OUT for supporting Treason. |
He also sold out the intel agencies.
Asked about the conclusion of the Intel Community’s conclusion v. Russia; Trump said: “I have confidence in both parties.” Why would a US President side with Russia's intel on Russian misdoings over that of the USA? Why is the GOP letting him get away with this? |
Man, we don’t even have real witch hunts anymore! |
What in the world does Putin have on him?? |
When asked if he would denounce Russian interference in our election, Trump replied: "I don't see any reason why it would be [Russia], I really want to see the server." Beyond belief. He doesn't know why it would be Russia. |
Fox News is ignoring all this. Their website quotes both leaders calling the meeting a "success." |
Cue all the GOP leadership with their "concerns" and being "troubled" by this. |
Thoughts and payers. |
Will DNI Coats resign? Kind of a big slap in the face to the IC, no? |
I guess it's time to rent the Manchurian Candidate and see how this will all turn out. |
I have real confidence in my intelligence people, but I must tell you that President Putin was extremely strong & powerful in his denial” -Trump
"I have president Putin, he just said it's not Russia. I will say this: I don't see any reason why it would be," - Trump "He offered to have the people working on the case come and work with their investigators with respect to the 12 people. I think that's an incredible offer," - Trump I looked through Ryan, McConnell, Rubio, Cruz and GOP twitter accounts and they are completely silent on the summit. It is almost like we will ignore this and move along as if nothing happened and Trump and Putin did not announce their affair publicly. |
