Op is reporting potential fraud. There's nothing wrong with this. More people should do this. Lots of cheaters out there using our tax dollars.

No, OP is wringing her hands and getting worked up and talking about questionable sounding aspects of the woman's life- she's doing everything EXCEPT reporting the potential fraud. Why? Making the call would be easier than all of this.

Op here. This is so bizarre that she would be lying about cheating welfare. She gave me lots of details about how she cheated so I think she's really committing fraud. I don't feel comfortable working with her anymore and I am not sure how to go about telling church. My daughter is in the same classroom so I think it may be tricky changing to another room.

Research your state's food stamp (SNAP) policies for details.

It's more likely that you, op, are correct: if he's the father of the kids, he probably needs to be included, if he lives with them.

If you want to report them, fine. But for your own sake, just remember that for all you know, she's receiving all benefits legally, but lying about her boyfriend's income.

Can you find another church? How old is your daughter? Can't you leave her in the nursery and attend church service? I would not want to spend my volunteer time with someone like that. She sounds awful.
