Should I report a co worker for Medicaid/ food-stamp fraud?

But OP said it was true! And the $2000 per week in tips for a male nail technician! You guys it’s SO TRUE.

Why would anyone brag about cheating welfare? That girl has issues.

A family of 5 in md can get $771 so it’s close to $800

People lie about shit all the time, for all sorts of reasons. Welcome to the world.

Op here. I am reporting what my coworker told me. I don't know why I am somehow the bad person here. What am I supposed to think about someone who tells me she's cheating the system? She drives a new so she's obviously getting money somehow. She also works as a nanny under the table.

For. Real.

I bet most of the people on Medicaid have side gigs as, like, janitors that comp thousands a week in tips. You just know it's true.

If she admitted to cheating the system op should report her. I can't believe people want op to be empathetic to someone who is committing FRAUD. She could go to jail. This is a serious crime.

That's new info coming at a convenient time.
If you want to report her, report her. You don't need a quorum. But from what you've shared here you don't seem to be very good and being able to tell when someone is spinning a tale and that's what people are reacting to.

Op here. I am not a troll. I accidentally wrote that the father was her husband one time and somehow that makes my entire post false. Most couples with children are married.

And she is your co-worker or a volunteer? You’ve said both. This story is hard to follow. At any rate, she’s a mess, and reporting her is only going to make her kids’ lives worse. You don’t really know what’s going on with her. Don’t you have other things to worry about in your own life?

Well, first of all, you’re the bad person here because you’re looking for a way to take medical care away from two little kids, because of scanty and unreliable information.

Second, you’re kinda dumb for credulously accepting everything this co-worker tells you, as though you’re the IRS and everything she tells you regarding her finances is required to be accurate. That’s not how casual conversation works.

Third, if she IS involved with something shady (2k per week in tips? ...No) then you’re risking your personal safety by reporting her and her boyfriend. Not a wise decision.

OP, you're not a bad person. You've just brought this thread to a very Liberal board. These people don't respect the law or personal responsibility. Report her if you think she's actually committing fraud; it's not like the government won't investigate and figure out what's going on first before changing anything.

Op here. I volunteer and she's a paid childcare worker. We work at a church nursery Sunday morning.

Op here. I am dumb because I believe someone who admits to Medicaid and food stamp fraud? She told me that she lies about the fathers involvement. According to her the government thinks he can't be found.
