| OP, maybe this is a silly question but do you think that our pets are reincarnated? Sometimes I believe this. |
Second this request. |

Not at all, 0:20 PP! Your daughter is lucky to have a supportive parent who will help nurture her gifts, and I wish her much luck.
All right I can answer some of the other questions before I begin my day, as I am enjoying my early morning coffee. I will probably not reply to this thread again till afternoon or so. To answer the question about distinguishing the frauds from the real deal, that's a great question. It offends and disgusts me personally when I hear of frauds and scammers taking advantage of people and exploiting both them and the integrity of my profession. Any time you hear the following, it's a fake: - I have a 100% accuracy rate! - I see an ancient family curse on you, it's going to continue to ruin your life unless you pay me $1000 to remove it - Where do you live? - Is there a [person/situation/problem] in your life right now? - Telling you that you need to check in on them regularly or else your life will go off the rails - Tell you the future is set in stone...unless you pay an extra fee and they can fix that future for you I'd also say that any overtly fanciful names should be a dead giveaway, but actually I've met one or two genuine psychics who were just a big wacky and eccentric and they enjoyed having fanciful, strange professional names. So you never know! Also, don't balk at requests for your date of birth; this is actually information that some psychics really need to connect to you. The stronger their connection to you, the more accurate and revealing their reading will be. Not every genuine psychic operates the same way. Some don't need more than your first name. Some need a photo. It's not that we can't read you off of almost nothing, but you're definitely not going to get your money's worth! The stronger our connection to you, the clearer the picture we get. However having said that, usually a real psychic will not need a lot from you beyond your name, and sometimes they might ask for your date of birth. They also will have an attitude of wanting to empower you by laying out all your alternatives on the table and explaining how each choice will lead to a different outcome. They should give your perspective and hope. Even if a real psychic is a grumpy, not very personable individual, they'll give you the bad news as well as the good news as a way to empower you by giving you a clear picture. Of course some real psychics just hate people and are cynical, for whatever reason; try to avoid them, even if they have a real gift. A psychic is meant to be a guide, and you want one who has compassion. As for astrology, yes it can be helpful but only if you get your particular chart drawn up. Just knowing that you're a Pisces and reading the newspaper's general prediction for Pisces isn't going to get you anywhere. It's waaaaay too general. Sit down with a certified astrologer with your date of birth and location of birth and, if you have it, your time of birth. Get a personalized chart done and ask the astrologer to explain your chart. This is actually something that I've seen my Chinese and Indian customers do pretty frequently and they often would come to me to ask for in-depth corroboration of what their astrologer's chart says. The charts corresponded with my psychic readings of their possibly future life paths. I would not use astrology except in this way. General monthly or yearly reading for your zodiac sign aren't ever going to help you. Anyone who wants to really benefit from astrology should get a personalized chart made. Otherwise it's a waste of time. I wish I could recommend readers in the DC, VA or MD area but I only know one psychic here and I would be outed (I did not work as a psychic in this area - that was many years ago and in a different city). Again, I strongly encourage people to look online. I wish the Internet had been around this much when I first started as a psychic because it really is a great resource for separating the scammers from the real psychics. There are ripoff reports and scammer reports now so it is much easier to find a psychic who has been proven genuine. Pets do have souls, and sometimes they reincarnate or sometimes they stay on the other side and help you! Animal souls are less evolved than ours, but they have lessons to teach us (unconditional love and loyalty, for example) and lessons of their own to learn. I am not a pet psychic but of course I do have the ability to read an animal's thoughts and life just like a human's. They have personalities that are very present though they are not as strongly individualized as ours are. I hope everyone has a good day today! I will be back when I can. |
| Do you feel that everyone has these abilities? How can you tell between a dream and a pre cognitive dream? I found in my 20's when I was single and living in the moment, I had many psychic experiences. Now that I am married with kids, they are few and far between. Is that because my focus has shifted? I can't even tell you how many times I have thought of someone who I have not spoken to in forever and they call me that day. Little things like that happen all the time. How can I harness that? |
| Given all that you've seen and experienced, what are your biggest wonders and/or worries? |
| This is great, OP, I have loved this thread! You have inspired me to try to go see a psychic. The only thing is that I would worry about getting a bad reading and I really would not want to know if something very bad was about to happen to me... ignorance is bliss. Have you ever had to do a reading on someone and tell them some very bad news? Like they were going to die or get very sick soon? That would be awful to hear. |
| Will I ever find love again? Female born February 12 1971 |
| Am I going to get off my ass and get a new job in 2015 or 2016? My crazy boss is driving me crazy but I love my job. |
| I wish you could tell me what school my son will end up at in the Fall. He's had a terrible year and I don't know what to do or what the school will do. |

My mom has dreams that often come true and has told me that her mother had that quality too... I find that that happens with me also, thought not quite as often it does with her. My mom and I also often call each other at the same time or are thinking of the same things at the same time. can this be considered a psychic ability? If so, how do you foster it and encourage it... with dreams, it's often just random and doesn't happen regularly.
Also, my mom can sense others feelings through her dreams and has seen people who have passed away in her dreams and had conversations with them.... it's quite amazing. |

OP - I really hope you are still reading.
I am sensitive, but have never considered myself a psychic. However, I would love your guidance on this. When I was very young, I had imaginary friends (like most kids). The difference is, these "friends" would give me information. Most of the time, that information was accurate. Just one of hundreds of examples - When I was in middle school one of these "friends" told me not to get on the school bus. I didn't. I went home and told my mother that I had thrown up at the bus stop. The bus was in an accident. This kind of stuff happened all the time. Of course, I was too embarrassed to tell anyone about it. As I got older, I stopped seeing these "friends", but I still had very strong premonitions. I could list several examples, but I'll just give one really big one. The night before 9/11, I woke up with a very strong feeling of dread. My chest hurt. I felt a sense of panic. I knew something really bad was going to happen. And of course it did. Here's the problem - I got exactly the same feeling right before my son was involved in a car accident. Or when my daughter was taken to the hospital. There is no difference in intensity even though 9/11 was obviously incredibly more significant. I can't control it. And I have no way of predicting what "bad thing" is going to happen or how serious the incident will be. I don't get that feeling when someone skins a knee or runs a fever. It seems to only happen when there is an intense emotional reaction by the victim. Another example - I woke up around 2am with a severe cramp in my foot. I got a phone call a couple of hours later letting me know my grandmother had just died. She died from a sudden blood clot that originated in her foot. One more - When we were visiting Cassadaga (for those who don't know, it's a famous spiritualist camp and tourist location) a woman came up to me and asked me how long I had been doing readings. I told her I wasn't a psychic. She took my hand, smiled and said, "You are. You just haven't figured it out yet". And she walked away. These things happen to me on a regular basis. I have premonitions about once a week. I get very strong feelings about people the instant I meet them. But I have zero control over any of it. You said earlier that it is ok if you don't want to use those gifts. The thing is, I don't feel like it is ok in my case. I feel like I am supposed to be using them. However, I am terrified of the feelings, dreams, and impressions. I don't know where to even start to look for help. I attend a very spiritually open Christian church. We have a Tarot Group that meets once a month, but I have never been to one of their meetings because frankly, I am afraid of what I might learn about myself. Assuming all the above is true (I'm not asking you to read me or to even suggest that I am being truthful - I understand that there are many reasons that perhaps you can't/shouldn't do that on-line). But let's assume that you knew me and that you knew all of the above to be true. What would you advise someone like me to do? I feel so conflicted. I'm scared of the ability but at the same time, I feel very strongly that I am supposed to be using it. Thanks so much for any advice you can offer. |
Curious about this as well. Will our family deal with more death this year? Will we add to our family before fall? |
|
10:54 here. I used to dream of death before someone close to me passed. That hasn't happened since my Grandma died 5 years ago, though.
My oldest used to "listen" to his Great Grandpa's advice. Grandpa said when my son was born that he had an "old soul." My son dreamed once that Great Grandpa led him out of a confusing, scary place and felt then that Great Grandpa was his guardian Angel. I wish he still felt that way. |

OP - I recently started taking yoga. At the end of my second class, during shavasana, I was lying very still and had a very clear image of my young child being struck by a car. It was deeply upsetting and has bothered me ever since.
I am prone to anxiety, but come from a family of people with uncanny abilities to know when something is "off" (my mother in particular). I can't decide whether this was just my anxiety manifesting itself because I let my thoughts loose (something I actively try NOT to do), or something more. So if you could elaborate on PP's question about how to know if it's just anxiety, I'd appreciate it. (Just to be clear - not asking you to do a reading for me.) I just wish I could shake this feeling. Obviously we are very alert about the possibility of DC running into the street, as any parent would be. I don't know what more I could do to prevent such an incident. It was just so terrifyingly vivid in my mind. I wish it would go away. |
| OP, just wanted to let you know this is by FAR my favorite AMA thread. |
