There was another psychic in Dcum s few years ago and she did do readings for peopke writing in - she actually predicted correctly when and how id get pregnabt the first time which j totally forgot about until a year later (certain kind of infertility treatments). I wish shed come back - she gave me hope after drs told me id never get pregnabt and turned out I've had two - sorry to derail just always wished she'd come back

Such a fascinating thread.

We may have overwhelmed OP, as I don't think she expected this type of consistently "positive" feedback instead of the normal nastiness one sees on here such as "...you're a liar....a fraud...a troll".

I know that she said she cannot recommend anyone in the area but I have been wanting a reading for a while now, especially right now as I am at a crossroads in my life. I guess I have to do what she suggested and google....

Hmm, this was an interesting thread! I'm not surprised the OP kind of got scared away - lots of extremely deep and heavy questions being asked in here, some of which are usually questions that you pay for.

I should know because I'm actually a psychic myself. I'm just dropping in to say that I can confirm the OP's views, and I understand her reluctance to respond to reading requests or deep questions.

This is not something that's readily apparent but doing psychic work takes energy and effort. You don't just get God's omniscient perspective on everything, and to even get accurate readings you have to do what everyone else does in every profession: give your time and energy and efforts to practice. I was not born with developed psychic ability, but when I was 15 I decided I wanted to become one. (I grew up in India where acceptance of psychics and astrologers is very mainstream). I practiced meditation daily for 4-5 years, praying to God to open my third eye, until I started getting clairvoyant messages while awake. Even after that, I needed to put in another 2 years of practice under the mentoring of a psychic I knew in Delhi (where I grew up) before I became really good at it.

So it's a gift we've earned, and we don't give away freely. It would be an insult to the divine power that gave this to me, and an insult to my years of effort, to give away free readings to anyone who asked. I actually don't work as a psychic at all! This is something I use in my private life, to help me deal with people, work, and all the everyday frustrations and challenges of life. I've only given readings to loved ones, and forbidden them to tell anyone they know that I'm psychic.

I've been very interested in the responses in this thread though - good luck to all of you PPs who have psychics in your family. You will benefit from that gift greatly in the years to come!

There is nothing to agree or disagree on. Psychic ability has never been proven (by a long shot - even when they are allowed to set the parameters for their test) but it has been debunked over and over. Former "psychics" have even told exactly how they scam people.

If you are a "psychic" you are scum for lying to people who are grieving or hurting.

If you believe in them please do some research for yourself so you don't get taken advantage of.
