Don't be naive.

They are assholes with no morals who take advantage of the naive, gullible, stupid and grieving.

So lets agree to disagree then.

There is nothing to agree or disagree on. Psychic ability has never been proven (by a long shot - even when they are allowed to set the parameters for their test) but it has been debunked over and over. Former "psychics" have even told exactly how they scam people.

If you are a "psychic" you are scum for lying to people who are grieving or hurting.

If you believe in them please do some research for yourself so you don't get taken advantage of.

Don't you have anything better to do? You aren't converting anyone here today and no one is trying to covert you.

Just keep being a morally bankrupt liar who preys on peoples naivete to feed your ego and/or delusion.

No conversion needed, there are mountains of evidence against psychic ability and how it is a scam.

I'm not a psychic but seriously, give it a rest.

Not bitter.

Just about psychics who prey on the bereaved.

No I have never been scammed by one, but I think they are deplorable for doing it.

Wow, this has been an interesting thread. I am not the OP but I've worked as a psychic on a telephone readings site. I know I have the real power, but I couldn't say the same for my colleagues. The fact is that most expensive telephone psychic companies are definitely running a scam. Most of them don't rigorously pick their readers, they just tell you do a test reading for a client - how is the client supposed to know the difference? - and then very likely pocket the money they made off of your "test" reading so you never see any of it. They'll fire you if you don't have lengthy call averages and even give you tips on how to keep clients on the phone for longer. Plenty of "psychics" share notes on repeat clients so that they can pretend new readers for the company are picking up on intuitions about the client's life. The main office treats the psychics VERY badly, trying to make you work long hours, at odd times of the day, on very short notice, and you get paid like nothing for your work. Even if you're earning $2.00 an hour, after tax and the company cut it's fucking pittance. So because you're paid so badly you're forced to take anyone who calls, and because it's such bad work the company will hire anyone who applies. Never ever ever ever ever use a telephone psychic company! They're almost ALL scams!

I finally got a position as a secretary and my life is a million times better. I'll never work as a psychic again. Do I have real psychic power, yes, but the spiritualist/metaphysical market is a nasty, nasty beast. It's full of liars and scam artists, preying on vulnerable folks and exploiting any real psychic to the maximum extent you will allow them.

I suggest if anyone here ever wants a reading to ask for local recommendations at a spiritualist church or look for private, independent psychics who work off of their own website - though plenty of those are scams as well actually.

Honestly, you can get by just fine without psychic readings. They're good to have and can help you a lot if you find a psychic who not only has the real power but also has the wisdom and compassion to know how to use it, but those people are as rare as the yeti. You can get the same benefit from going to a responsible therapist and a good therapist is easier to find than a good, real psychic!

Good luck to everyone in this thread. I enjoyed reading it but wanted to put in my word of warning.

^ you should probably see a therapist for schizophrenia if you sincerely think you have psychic powers

Do you feel bad for pretending to have powers you do not have and ripping people off?

if you were real why didn't you work independently? Anyone knows that those advertisements on tv and online are scams. Word of mouth is best.

I am planning on visiting Sedona Arizona and was planning on seeing a psychic there. I have some psychic abilities of my own but I would dearly like to have someone else's input.

Do you think Sedona will have a lower likelihood of scam artists?
