Ha, I was thinking these days I rarely see short stacked bobs among the moms at preschool or the playground, what are you talking about, op? Ohhhhh, this is a another 2 year old post.

Why do women do this to themselves? I really don't understand the appeal. It is especially bad when the bob is super stacked and short in the back. There have to be other alternatives??!

You're an idiot.

Absolutely 100% idiot, probably has long hair and thinks all women should have the same as her. Dumbass!

Not worth getting irate about 2 yo thread... long gone. PP dumber than box of rocks.

My friends and I were agreeing the other day that we're all tired of long, straight hair. So boring - everyone has it.

Maybe a few cute bobs will liven things up a bit.

Bobs FTW.

Long, limp do-nothing hair that you're afraid to cut because you've had it since your 20s? So out.

+1. I see tons of women in DC in their mid30-40 with long hair who don't realize how bad and unhealthy it is looking.

It's not faster, my long hair is faster, I have to do the bob... Blow dry...straighten.

Of course it's faster than having to do those things with long hair, which most of us do. Few women have wash and go hair. Drying and straightening long hair takes more time than doing the same to short hair. Not even sure what your argument is.

For me it is not faster. Blow drying and straightening long hair does not take longer. Just imagine it is true for some people. Also I can't do undos, crunched curls or ponytails which are easy once my hair air dries.

I cut my hair for locks of love, got tons of compliments... But long hair is easier for me.

Do people still fall for the "Locks Of Love" scam?

Is a bob cut the same as a bobohead?

I have super straight hair. What other hairstyle should I wear?

Bobs ONLY look good if you have naturally pin straight silky hair. I have wavy hair and had to beat it into submission to maintain a bob- grew it out bc I knew it didn't look good- all it took was one rainy day and I looked ridiculous

Wrong. You just got a shitty cut.

Different cuts look good on different people. I switched to a lob and then a bob after spending my 20s with long hair, and it is much more complementary to my long, thin, high-cheekboned face.

I don't hate the look of bobs, but a PP said they only work for pin straight silky hair...I'd add that your hair needs a certain amount of thickness. My hair is pin straight and silky, but it's fine. A shorter hairstyle that's supposed to lay a certain way just doesn't look right sometimes because it gets TOO flat. I envy those of you with thicker hair!

I have fine hair, and long hair looks awful on me. A nice layered bob makes everything look fuller.

Also, it's not necessary for hair to be pin-straight. Choppy, wavy bobs are in right now; you see them on a lot of celebs, including the oh-so-dowdy Marion Cotillard.
