| I agree with PP - this goes way beyond just teen drinking. Gross behavior by all concerned. |
|
This whole thread should be in the politics or parenting sections. It's association with Landon is irrelevant and tangential.
Why not also link it with Sidwell or Yale grads, attorneys, politicians, Jews, indulgent parents, fathers whose names start with the letter D, or advocates of gay marriage? |
| Because it sadly fits a pattern of behavior Landon is already known for. |
| There is something at Landon that breeds bad behavior and/or attracts kids/families who already behave boorishly. |
So landon seniors were the only ones who went to beach week? Where do you think the girls came from? |
| People forget to mention Doug Gansler youngest son is a junior at Bullis and he too also plays lacrosse. |
| Somewhere. The boardwalk. A tattoo parlor. I don't know. They don't look like they have much class either. But out of all the DC area schools, public and private, Landon has the uneviable rep of breeding generations of drunken lecherous behavior. |
| I still think Landon is a strong school but let's be honest, given its history this story does not help. |
The girls that were at the party were from the other schools that were there that week. |
|
So, are any of your daughters in these photos?
|
What does that have to do with the story. The house was rented by Landon dads. They came up with the rules which conveniently omit the word "beer". They are the ones in the photo, along with shirtless dudes dancing on tables drinking beer. This is par for the course for Landon. GO BEARS! |
Their parents probably didn't rent a house for them complete with rules that bar liquor but not beer. Their parents are also smart enough not to attend these parties, watching lecherously while sipping wine. |
|
I graduated from a DC Private school over 15 years ago. Thank GOD we didn't have social media during our Senior Week in June. This type of party culture during Beach Week has been going on for decades whether your in private school or public school. Kids nowadays need to recognize the dangers of social media.
Doug Gansler's campaign is pretty much toast. |
|
Gansler has taken a ton of hits, but I don't think he's toast just yet.
As for the "this type of stuff happened/happens all the time" - that's not a valid excuse. Underage drinking is underage drinking, and parents should not be enabling it. What is someone drove a car and killed someone? The issue is not the dangers of social media. The issue is the dangers of bad/illegal behavior. |
| Yawn...... |
