Where do you people live and hang out?

Multiple men in my regular life social circle or taller than 6 feet. Many. Not a few.

I do think this forum is weirdly tall obsessed for boys.

Most people are notoriously bad abt estimating height. Many people are not honest about their own height. Very very few men outside a few distinct ethnic groups are above 6 feet and even among them most aren't 6' 5" . . . There simply isn't many. So you either live in a location with a disproportionately high sunset of extremely tall individuals or you are mistaken.

My FIL is (or was) 6'5" considering he has shrunk now that he's in his 80s. Being that tall is no joke. He doesn't fit well in a lot of cars, flying is a pain, and he's like a buoy above the crowd in most places. It's not a common height. My DH was disappointed he didn't end up as tall as his dad and is more 6'1" or 6'2" which is much better. It's tall but not too tall. 6'5" is a bit too tall and most things aren't made for that height. German/Dutch stock.

Are doctors and coaches also notoriously bad at measuring because they all tell me my 15 year old is 6’6…which makes sense because he is clearly an inch taller than my husband who has been measured as 6’5 by his doctors.

But, whatever, they are probably just 5’8 and 5’7 like you’re saying.

Same situation here. These responses are wild.

For gods sake, just shut up. Don’t be such an idiot - of course 6’5 people exist in the world, but they are exceedingly rare as I’m sure you realize. They are not as common as these dumb threads would suggest. I personally think it would be horrible to be that tall and would not be attracted to someone that height, but I know you view it as some personal accomplishment so congratulations I guess.

I have a client who is 6 foot 4, and I had a health care practitioner that height who was a former athlete. But they do really stick out as you don't often see people that tall in real life.

What about a girl at the same height and age? (Not a joke)

Does he look like a lanky little boy or is he that 14 year old that looks a man already? If the first he got a few inches left in him, if he looks way older than most of his friends then he’s close to done.

And yes I have teen daughters and I hear how their friends talk. If a boy is 6 foot or taller they go on and on about it

14 year old girls are almost entirely done growing. Mine gained maybe half an inch and they were 13 and 14 when they got their periods so most don’t even get that

My best friend's husband is 6'6" and he's a pilot, partly because at least he has a little more legroom in the cockpit rather than back in economy! I was just at the theater with him and watching him stand up was like watching an accordion unfold.

Very odd choice for someone that tall. Even cockpits aren't designed for someone that height.

Actually funny you mention that because he'd be too tall to be in the Air Force as they have strict requirements.

Look princess, math and stats don't lie it's statistically impossible for the percentage of DCUMERers claiming that their sons, husbands, fathers etc are all 6'5" to be accurate.

It was tongue-in-cheek.

But, the love of flying runs deep in that family. His dad was a commercial air pilot. Brother is a Coast Guard helicopter pilot. He himself was a commercial pilot before having to medically retire. One of his sons is in aviation school. All the men are well over 6' but he is the tallest by a few inches.

Oh, DO share your work! I’d love to see the numbers on this, and how you expertly deal with the important consideration of confirmation bias!
