Sounds like an early developer, he is probably about done, especially considering parent heights. I have noticed a lot of boys going through puberty much earlier than what used to be the norm. My son was a later developer, but many of his friends grew earlier and were done by 14ish, at least in height.

If he has no facial hair there's no way he's about done with puberty or his growth spurt. A quick google search most boys stop growing between the ages of 16 and 18. I think it's likely he grows at least a few more inches.

Not really. Some guys don’t get much facial hair until their 20s (or ever) - they are long done with puberty. Hair growth is a very separate thing from bone growth. And yes, most boys stop growing around 16-18 so that is the average, meaning some will stop earlier and some will stop later. Many earlier developers are done around 14.

Dad could be the short outlier. My BIL is around 5'7 with parents that are about 6'0 (dad) and 5'8 (mom). 2 sisters about 5'8 and 2 brothers, 6'2 and 6'5ish. TBD on his kids but they're skewing taller than you'd expect looking only at parental height.

Why do people post things like this? Everyone will be whatever height they wind up being, and they'll deal with it. Why bother worrying or even wondering about it at all? The world has people of all heights. They all make do.

I would bet big money that 98% of the people posting about their 6'5" sons probably have sons that are just barely 6ft.

My son wears size 16 and it’s a nightmare. There are limited options even with online shopping.

My son is 14 and 6'2. He is done growing per an X-rays he had done for a sports related injury. What tanner stage is he at? He will have 2 large growth spurts and then he will be mostly done growing.

+1, it’s amazing how many sons on DCUM are 6’5 even though I never see any in real life. Oh and remember these posters all also have a HHI of “7 figures” and the moms all look 15 years younger than their age.
