If it’s a handwritten note from the AO, they have started arriving.

Sure would be nice to get a card for my younger one, but at least they finally published the Dean's List so everyone can see my older one.

Everyone? No one’s looking. And like half the class is in the dean’s list.

WM is much more grade inflated than it used to be! Below 3.65 is below average

UVA is about 3.6.

Have to keep up with the inflation at Harvard and Brown.

I've been trying to tell people the stress culture 24/7 grind nonsense is many years behind now. 53% of students made the dean's list this year.

Pushed submit too soon! There are tons of mainstream kids at W&M and have been for years. This board reflects the school twenty years or more ago. I wouldn’t say the typical kid there is the same as the predominant kid at UVA, though. My kid got into both but preferred W&M in part because she felt the kids were nicer, less strivery, and more into being genuine and part of a community. She is a freshman and in a sorority and other activities and has had a great experience so far.

My kid is at UVA but was admitted to W&M as a Monroe Scholar. She’s in a sorority and I feel like she’d be in a similar group at W&M. I hope our younger kid applies to both as well.
People who paint in such broad brushes often have no real experience to speak of — just an agenda.

I think they've gotten a lot more comparable socially beyond size and athletics of course. Looking through the Instagram account another poster shared, seems like more and more people are realizing that.
