All UMC men are now jacked, (probably) injecting testosterone off-label, and obsessive about longevity hacks. Right?

These men are all MAGAs.

If you saw him in shorts and a t-shirt you’d know he’s in good shape but he appears average, unless he takes his shirt off. You can see all the muscles in his torso. He lifts for strength, not appearance or bulk. His workouts specifically revolve around maintaining a heart rate below 140bpm at levels high exertion.

He's not UMC.

Not according to our accountant weirdo.

Well.. the red light head lamp doesn't grow brains.

Not in our friend group. DH and his friends, who are all UMC, are the more nerdy tech types vs bros. They are either perfectly average body wise or have a runners build. His best friend is on testosterone for medical reasons and definitely does not have any type of testosterone fueled build.

Don't confuse a little muscle under a lot of fat with being solid muscle.

OP here. I know what I am looking at and I stand by what I said. It’s a very specific Rivian - Lucid demographic. The decile who can afford to finance a dedicated cold plunge pool and pay for a Prenuvo

Not “any men” I pass in AutoZone

I don't even understand what you said here. Get better company.

This. I know the type OP is talking about. Not all UMC men are like this. None in our friend group are and most are UMC.

UMC wives are busybodies.

It has to be Ezra Klein.

I hope they are all destroying their kidneys and livers and who knows what else.

A guy here. I've been lifting on and off since high school decades ago. I'm 50. Not huge because I'm inconsistent. Get hurt alot. get bored and change my exercises too often. I like beer too much. etc etc. But I like lifting. I have started following some meat heads on Twitter a few years ago and I started being more intentional. I added some muscle but I'm more concerned with movement. Being able to get up get down, run, jump, etc etc. I started taking creatine, protein shakes, thinking about macros, some other "healthy" supplements...Vitamin D, multi vitamin, anti-inflamatories, IF, etc etc. No TRT or anything. Some of my buddies are doing the same. Some are fat and out of shape. It depends. You can probably same the same thing about UMC women with fillers and some botox and this and that. Oh well.

Excuse me for my ignorance, but what is UMC?

Test does not go through the kidneys. I recently had a kidney transplant and I’m on test. I had to clear it through my nephrologist and the transplant team to continue test once I can start lifting again and I got the green light.

(No TRT, I’m natty. lol) Assuming this is an honest question, I will say that I feel vastly better than I did before lifting, way better than when I was just doing a bunch of cardio. I get that we hate the Rivian bros, but is it so hard to imagine that being strong feels way better than not? This explains most of it in my opinion.

NP but I think the OP is referring to something beyond what you're doing. It's peacocking and vanity, showing off, like RFK Jr and Hegseth 's push-ups. It's a certain aesthetic which is showing off big guns and how jacked you are. Maybe they feel better, maybe they don't. It's about taking supplements and drugs to get there.

lol OP would totally put me in that category if we met. I get that she finds it off-putting, but a lot of us are just running our own race and doing things that are making us feel better

My DH has been working out and eating healthy for decades. He does focus on longevity for sure. He doesn't take testosterone though he makes sure he is getting lots of protein. DH also does Pilates and yoga for flexibility and balance. And he doesn't skip leg day. It's weird when men's bodies are so out of proportion.

He's a BIGLAW equity partner, but I haven't noticed any of his partners being at all like that. They seem to me to be the usual semi-lumpy guys in expensive suits.
