Ok, but you should really get off the couch and work out fatty. |
Ha! Met with my trainer yesterday and go to the gym at least 5 days a week, but I don't spew my details all over DCUM. |
Keep conjuring stories drawn from the erotic fanfiction you enjoy consuming over a couple of glasses of wine each night. |
| Red flag for clown behavior. |
Only a man would spin "met with my trainer yesterday" into erotic fan-fiction. I think all those amino acids are eating holes in your brain. |
PP, I'm more like a hobbit. |
Results matter. Getting the perfect attendance award at the gym is no prize. |
Yes. It does. |
... but huge amounts of creatine impact the kidneys. My brother developed AKI from over-proteining in an effort to bulk up quickly. Why, exactly, are you on "test," sir? Who told you that you needed more testosterone at your advanced age? |
OP here. I'm not doughy, I'm typical for my socioeconomic class We've lost the thread here as we always do on dcum. I"m not and never was talking about a typical man who has some muscles (again, from doing his 150 minutes a week of cardio and strength training 3x/ week. You know, evidence-based interventions that promote the healthspan). I'm talking about the guys with testosterone neck and face who get 400 labs drawn annually for no real reason and follow Attia with cult-like lack of discernment. They wear 3 wearables at all times and love to talk about their "data." And some have chicken legs with overdeveloped pecs. |

Sounds like my husband. He has always been “jacked” and into fitness, and has been doing cold plunges maybe 10 years. But the interest in health did ramp up when Peter Attia for popular. And here we are, with a mattress topper that automatically adjusts its temperature. It’s pretty amazing; he doesn’t get night sweats anymore and it’s been nice for my menopause issues too.
So yeah, with the exception of testosterone and he’s on trend. It’s too bad that his interests have been encroached upon by MAGA types (DH is a registered democrat). I reminds me of how I made my own baby food and voted for Obama, but now someone who makes baby food probably isn’t following the recommended vaccination schedules. It’s bizarre. |
