And, Trump and the Republicans have a majority, plus they claim they won a landslide and have a mandate. Therefore if they can't pass a budget it's their own fault. |
They just want to try and get him on camera taking responsibility for the shutdown again. Or more likely grasping for any fake excuse to capitulate like last time. |
Yes. They want to be able to say: "Look, we did our duty, and Trump did not." Problem is, Trump is going to blame the Democrats regardless, in his usual below-the-belt manner. And he will be automatically believed by a large portion of Republicans. |
Trump isn’t making any decisions. They should send Pelosi to school Miller. |

we want it shutdown. |
There’s only so much democrats and independents can do. Anyone who can do simple math should be able to realize that it’s so bad they couldn’t even get a majority. MAGA is a cult. There is only so much one can do. |
| Ugh, I'm a big dummy. Submitted my passport renewal last week on line and didn't expedite. No travel outside the US until December, so hoping... |
| Since Congress is not in session this week does that mean no new news until Monday 9/29 or will they still be working on it this week? |

They have plenty of time. |
| Does anyone have any actual intel from the WH or congress? |
Congress is on recess. WH is also checked out. |
He can try and the 35% of MAGA will believe him, but the Dems are simply asking for the corruption to be put in check and to not put any items through the recission process. Why they would trust the Administration on these is beyond me, but the American Public would certainly understand the meaning behind the "no kings" shutdown. |
