| When Schumer caved in March DOGE was at the height of its power and Dems feared that Elon might use the designation of certain federal employees as "essential" as justification to fire everybody else. This doesn't seem to be as much of a factor right now. |
I would not rely on anything that the WH or congressional Republicans put out as a desk or plan in the works. House is on recess through Oct. 1. Senate can’t even get the tainted CR to 50 votes. I think it’s safe to assume long shut down. I’m preparing for 1-3 with one of our two household incomes. DHS and DOD are funded. They don’t care about anything else. |

That’s why GOP hates her. |
Schumer always caves, no excuse needed. |
We shall see. No one has given him a TACO title yet. |

+1 Jefferies must go he sucks like Schumer. Both are worthless. |
I thought DOD is also operating on a CR - has there been a separate appropriations bill passed for that agency? |
Most of the concessions that Pelosi won during Trump's first term were when she had a majority in the House. If Jeffries can win back that majority I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. |
| Curious to see who caves first, Schumer or TACO |
Schumer will. |
| I don't think the DOD is funded. |
That was until the end of the fiscal year — Sept. 30th. |
| Dems are to blame as usual |
