Not kidnapped but almost sexually assaulted. |
+1 Not even close. |
Op I know two men with this story too |
This thread is so weird... it's half people insisting that no one has ever been kidnapped and it's CRAZY to think that women worry about this stuff, and half very credible replies about near kidnappings and assaults. |
I was kidnapped in Costa Rica at 21. |
Similar to the Mexico City story, but in VA. Taxi flew by my destination, went to a parking lot, locked the doors, and offered me a Mikes hard lemonade, which they for some reason had on hand. I was able to manually unlock the door quickly and ran down a steep hill we were at the top of, and was lucky there was a gas station down below. |
how'd you get away? |
How would you even know this hasn’t happened to anyone you know? You wouldn’t, unless they volunteered that information, and most people don’t go around divulging all their trauma. |
Yes, I was at age 16 in OH. I have always lived in a city ( no suburbs), and I am followed frequently. I am a boomer. |
When I was 11 a stranger approached me after school and lured me into a vacant area in the school building and molested me. He was not a teacher. I managed to run away. I can’t say that this was an attempted abduction though as he didn’t try to take me to another building. |
No, lol! |
Yup. Multiple times. |
My grandmother escaped a potential abduction when she was a tween. After grandpa died, she developed agoraphobia and I believe it was partly connected to this early trauma. |
Well, they manage to beat up and kill women regularly. I just don’t think kidnapping is so common that it’s been attempted with every woman at least once. |
Yes, when I was in 4th grade, old guy offered me a ride as I was walking home from a friend’s house. Happened to my friend’s kid recently, some guy pulled over, asked her if she had thought about being a model and told her to get in his car. |
