Does every adult female have an experience where they were almost kidnapped?

I had multiple experiences in which significantly older boys or men tried to engage with me in ways that felt creepy, but never had anyone lay a hand on me or try to get me to go from Point A to Point B, etc.

When I was 14, a man asked if I wanted a ride home. The weather was nice and I was walking my (small) dog in my neighborhood. I obviously did not need a ride home. I was creeped out but didn’t tell anyone. I’ve always wondered if he was just a loser who hoped to mess around without forcing me, or if he planned to hurt me.

I hit submit too soon. A year later, I was standing at a bus stop and another man offered me a ride. He only asked me, not the other people who were also waiting. I said no, of course. I’ve also wondered what his plans were for me.

Twice I had guys not let me leave their house.

One was my brother’s friend, he stole my basketball and I followed him to his house to get it. He trapped me in his house and I fought my way out. He ended up being schizophrenic.

Once a boy locked me in a bathroom when I was coming out he was coming in. He assaulted me but someone showed up and I got out.

I was making some bad decisions when I studied abroad in paris and had a man encourage me to get in a car with his friends. I at least had the good judgment to realize that was a terrible choice and walked away. Looking back, I think I was at risk of being trafficked.

Yes as a child and as a young woman. Two friends of mine were kidnapped and raped as adults. One was chained to a tree and left for dead, thankfully survived. The other was thrown out of a car after he was done. She also lived.

Now that I think of it, my best friend and I were walking down a busy street with lots of stores together when we were 10 - lots of kid did this after school - and a woman in an SUV stopped us and said she was friends my friends mom and she could give us a ride home. My friend dint know her and declined. Crazy

Rape. Not sure if he planned to kidnap me and move to another location.

I was in a company-provided car going home after a work even in NYC and the driver kept hitting on me. I went the "haha, thanks, but no" route (I was 24ish) and he insisted he was going to take me out to dinner. I said no repeatedly, instead of taking me to my apartment on the LES he got on the Williamsburg bridge taking me to Brooklyn. I pulled my phone out and dialed 9-1- and told him I was going to report a kidnapping if he didn't turn around and take me straight back to Manhattan. He did, but acted very offended and shocked that I wasn't flattered.

It's kind of the classic situation where I was terrified while it was happening, it's clearly out of bounds behavior, but I wasn't hurt in the end and I'm sure men will fi d a way to downplay it when they hear about it because if no one was violently raped it must have been just ineffectual flirting, right?
