Does every adult female have an experience where they were almost kidnapped?

Maybe? A guy put me in a healock and attempted to drag me into an alley off of U st.

Never, but I'm not particularly desirable.

Nope

No, I dont think this is common. There was an unfortunate social media trend of people saying they were almost kidnapped when actually they were "followed" by some guy going to his own car.

However, I do think it's almost universal to experience sexual assault, defined broadly to include grabbing and such.

Yes, at age 3 in the early 1980s at a now-defunct upscale department store in an affluent suburb of NYC, I became separated from my mother and my au pair and a woman tried to leave the store with me.

Nope. I’ve been in sketch situations but not kidnapping related

If every woman was almost kidnapped, there would be a lot more actual kidnappings than there are.

That's so awful. My friend and I once lost her 3 yr old in a Borders bookstore (miscommunication with a third friend) and the two of us spread out to look for her daughter. We found her with a grown man holding his hand as he walked her towards the kids' section. I'm sorry you had the opposite experience when you were separated from your people.

Whenever this topic comes up, it seems most women have had an almost kidnapping type of experience.

Did you experience the same?

As my DD is a teen, and times have changed, I’m wondering if everyone at some point has this type of occurrence happen.

The kind of thing you are talking about is statistically less common than other types of abduction - only about 24% of kidnappings are committed by a stranger. The rest are family and acquaintance kidnappings.

I was kidnapped at age 15 by my boyfriend. He handcuffed me to a doorknob and left me there for 5+ hours alone in the dark. I was unable to speak fwhen he finally came back and took me home. I never told anyone.

I'd wager that 99% are made up and didn't really happen as people say.

It's a joke really, they make fun of "gray areas" with women in movies and even this very topic.

You could tell someone who loves you now, today. It's never too late to unburden yourself from holding that inside.

No, but definitely had grown men try to talk to me when I was in middle school. Also have been flashed twice, sexually harassed at work, sexually assaulted (twice), and experienced CSA by my dad.

This is the real national emergency but we as a collective do not care about the safety and wellbeing of women and children so there you have it.

Followed? Yes. Kidnapped? No.
