Because almost every developed country is facing the same problems with affordability, lack of decent job options in less expensive areas, and the standard of living being so high to the point where having more than 2 kids isn’t really possible without severely lowering your living standards. Never mind the declining marriage rates and problems with sexism and worsening male/female relations in general.

The fact that the administration brought up Fulbright makes me think that they are targeting middle to upper middle class, mostly white, educated women. These are the main types that are skipping or delaying children. The largest families I know are immigrant families and I don’t think that is what the administration wants.

A little late. They already crapped on Fulbright Scholars and Scholarships. The motivated types that would win these types of awards have already moved on to pursue other opportunities. Unfortunately they damaged the Fulbright program. For what gain? who knows but that is what the voters wanted. Fulbrights are not as desirable as they were before Trump chewed them up and spit them out.

1) So the idea is to give men a parenthood bonus again. Because certainly women who are pursue a Fullbright scholarship know the scholarship is only one piece of it.

2)$5000 baby bonus to cover say all those hospital bills. Because $5000 only replaces people salary for a short time. And they just gained other expenses with the baby.

3) So now folks think funding women’s health is important? Oh, and women are not the large demographic that doesn’t understand menstruation and fertility.

4) Because we now need an award decree some women are better mothers than others? As clearly there is not enough stress and stigma that goes along with it.
