Short women do you like or dislike being short ?

The hard part is that unless you have a naturally petite figure to go along with the height you will look relatively heavier than your taller counterparts. I remember when I was in college i was at a party and a drink spilled on my jeans. Another girl who lived there very graciously offfered to lend me a pair and although I knew I'd have to roll the bottoms up, I was shocked that we wore the same size 6 which looked so much slimmer on her.

But OP, how old are you? I found this bothersome when I was 20 but at 40 it's just one of those things you roll with. Ultimately my body has been so good to me so if I catch myself going into comparison mode I know it's time to refocus on gratitude.

I’m 4’11. Those of you who are able to wear petite pants must have longer legs than me. I buy petite and they still have to be hemmed by 2-3-4+ inches. I don’t own a single pair of work pants that fit without tailoring. I have to have jackets/blazers tailored for sleeve length too. It probably doesn’t help that I’m also size 8-10 these days. I feel like it was easier in my 20s when I was a size 2.

My dd is your height and a size zero and still needs me to hem pants/leggings/sweatpants: teen sizes even in short length are way too long. After a couple times spending money to get things hemmed, I taught myself and became pretty good at it.

I’m 5’2 and love it. I’ve always been athletic but slim and don’t mind being short.

Oddly I only date men over 6’ tall

True! At 5’2”, I look chubs after size 2.

My daughter is also 4'11" and super small. She recently found that boys size 12 jeans fit perfectly without hemming.

I'm 5'0" and am wearing teen boys 28x30 jeans. You can get them and American Eagle and Hollister.

Try dresses made by Italian brands I think they cater to more petite women.

Guy here and great point! Guys don't care about height the way women do. We care about hot. If you're hot, height don't matter! If you're not hot, height is not gonna help you! 5'7" of not hot is not better than 4'10" of not hot.

Because they won’t get a concufrom running into a tree branch?

No, short people seem to live longer. Higher power to weight ratio, less stress on the body, less distance for the heart to pump blood, shorter veins and arteries, and maybe a few other things.

I'm 5'2 and my husband loves these protein shakes that are on the top shelf at the grocery store. They are too high for me so I always have to ask someone to reach them. That is annoying.

I’m 5’2 and think that 5’5 / average would be a good height.

Even though I am short, I have longish arms and broad shoulders so I can look taller than I am, and I don’t wear petite tops.

But pants are so hard to find! So many petite pants have 30”+ inseams, which are way too long!

At my height I deal with a ton of infantilization by both men , and women . Despite being in my late 30s I often get mistaken for a child

It’s extremely hard to maintain being thin at my height since my bmr is low . Unfortunately I have high appetite, and eat more than bigger people

Lastly when men say they like short women they mean women in the 5’0-5’4 range . At my height I attract creepy men who seem hebophilic . I also get hit on a lot by very short guys who only want me because I’m the only girl shorter than them in the room

I'm 5'3.5".
Including the .5 in there probably makes it obvious that I wish I was a little taller, lol. Maybe like 5'6" or 5'7". I don't think I'd want to be really tall though.

The weight issue is a problem on the other end too. When a 5'11" woman is overweight, she is a very, very large person. Staring at her large.

Most men are repulsed by women my height , even tall men avoid tall women . The grass is not greener . At least you can wear heels , there’s nothing I can do to become shorter besides reincarnation

Plus women are pressured to look younger . I find that petite women maintain the youthful look for longer . While tall women appear old even if we have baby faces . I looked 25 years old at 16 years purely based off my height

What? I’m tall and never had the issues you describe. Also have many tall friends and have never, ever heard this.

My friend has sadly had security called on her in women's bathrooms several times. She's 6' and 230 pounds.

I'm 5' 2" and I am an expert at climbing grocery store shelves.

I always wanted to be a tall, athletic Nordic girl with thick braids but instead I get to ride ponies so the trade-off is fine, since I can't do anything about it anyway.
