Short women do you like or dislike being short ?

5'3" here and definitely would like to be taller- 5'6" or 5'7" seems ideal to me. I have a very short inseam so even short or XS inseams can be tough.

DD16 is 5'1" and as a 6th grader, was once picked up by the principal and brought back to the office for me to be called, saying she was too young to be walking home by herself.

Luckily, DH and DS are 6'1" and are usually around to grab unreachable items both in house and store. Conversely, I've gotten down on my hands and knees to get stuff for them on the lowest shelves.

That's great but has nothing to do with height. You can be well proportioned at 5'0'' or 6'0'' or not well proportioned at these heights.

That is correct. But I think a well balanced proportioned and fit body is more important than actual height.

Most men are repulsed by women my height , even tall men avoid tall women . The grass is not greener . At least you can wear heels , there’s nothing I can do to become shorter besides reincarnation

Plus women are pressured to look younger . I find that petite women maintain the youthful look for longer . While tall women appear old even if we have baby faces . I looked 25 years old at 16 years purely based off my height

I’m also 5’11 and love it! I don’t feel like I’m mistaken for a man or trans but men can easily be intimidated by my height. Sometimes they make comments about wanting to have children with me so they can be pro athletes. I guess lesson is a lot of men are creeps regardless of height.

Get your own thread.

Nope, you don’t make the rules. If people are going to insult tall people, then us tall girls can respond.

Tall girls have it easy in life. Please. If you are even moderately attractive and relatively slim people think you are a model and men chase you, especially short men wanting to improve their genetics

How old was your DD at 11 in 6th grade? When did she hit puberty? She may still grow more, especially with the genes from her tall dad.

At my height I deal with a ton of infantilization by both men , and women . Despite being in my late 30s I often get mistaken for a child

It’s extremely hard to maintain being thin at my height since my bmr is low . Unfortunately I have high appetite, and eat more than bigger people

Lastly when men say they like short women they mean women in the 5’0-5’4 range . At my height I attract creepy men who seem hebophilic . I also get hit on a lot by very short guys who only want me because I’m the only girl shorter than them in the room

I'm 5'3.5".
Including the .5 in there probably makes it obvious that I wish I was a little taller, lol. Maybe like 5'6" or 5'7". I don't think I'd want to be really tall though.

OMG, I am you! I feel the same way and have the same height with the .5. A little bit taller than 5.3 but not quite 5.4. I wear heels and this brings me to my ideal height I feel very comfy with which is like you said, 5'6" - 5'7" . I think it's the ideal height because you are still comfy in small cars and airplane seats and can fit into small spaces, but you don't need to wear annoying heels in order to not have to look up when talking to most people, or get crowded by tall people at concerts, parades.

All in all, you sort of have to be 5'3" to reach for things and see out of the windows. World in general is uncomfortable for people below 5'2" and above 6' tall.
