I’m also 5’11 and love it! I don’t feel like I’m mistaken for a man or trans but men can easily be intimidated by my height. Sometimes they make comments about wanting to have children with me so they can be pro athletes. I guess lesson is a lot of men are creeps regardless of height.

Get your own thread.

Nope, you don’t make the rules. If people are going to insult tall people, then us tall girls can respond.

How do you even know what's being said about you? Because you clicked on a thread that specifically says "Short women do you like or dislike being short" ? Why?

At my height I deal with a ton of infantilization by both men , and women . Despite being in my late 30s I often get mistaken for a child

It’s extremely hard to maintain being thin at my height since my bmr is low . Unfortunately I have high appetite, and eat more than bigger people

Lastly when men say they like short women they mean women in the 5’0-5’4 range . At my height I attract creepy men who seem hebophilic . I also get hit on a lot by very short guys who only want me because I’m the only girl shorter than them in the room

Your projection is showing. As if those same guys have never been rejected by women who are taller than they are just for being short. Newsflash: at the "hitting on" stage everyone is operating at a level of supreme superficiality.

I think the only benefit is fitting in plane, train, theater seats easier. My DH is 6’4” and it’s tough for him. Other than that, I don’t like being short.

Yes, I love it.

5'0" on the dot

Petite and ankle pants are perfect.

Didn't read the responses but wanted to mention, since you seem to ruminate about this. You might be projecting these desires on those men who show interest due to your fears and how you feel others see and treat you. Try to discuss your fears with the guy so they avoid any missteps that might trigger your fears. I'm not saying you are wrong, I wouldn't know how common guys like that are but hoping it's rare.

It's sort of the elephant in the room but women are actually a lot harsher regarding male physical appearance than the other way around. The range of women men find attractive is much broader than the range of men women find attractive. And while we don't all need or want guys who are 6 ft + we generaly prefer guys to be, at minimum, taller than we are. Yes, there are obvious exceptions but this is one of those areas where the exception proves the rule. It's pretty brutal and not flattering to female mate preference but I don't make the rules. OP knows women have this filter and resents the short guys for it. She'd be a lot happier if instead she used the opportunity to screen for a hidden gem.

Good luck policing what people read on the internet!

5"2 and I love it. I was able to maintain relatively small weight (50 kg at the age of 50). I always felt like I am perfectly proportioned.

You do not get mistaken for a child, and there is nothing wrong with short men approaching you. There is something wrong with assuming every man around you has some weird ulterior motive, though.

My Italian ancestors are to blame for my height. They came over more than 100 years ago.

I'm short and don't get mistaken for a child or hit on.

It can be hard to find clothes that fit, especially in the lower price range.

It's hard to carry extra pounds and easy to look dumpy and frumpy.

I can't reach stuff on top shelves, which is annoying at the grocery store.

That's great but has nothing to do with height. You can be well proportioned at 5'0'' or 6'0'' or not well proportioned at these heights.
