Short women do you like or dislike being short ?

Plus women are pressured to look younger . I find that petite women maintain the youthful look for longer . While tall women appear old even if we have baby faces . I looked 25 years old at 16 years purely based off my height

I am 5 11.5 and I love it. I don't experience anything you have mentioned (getting taken for a transgender person or men being "repulsed"? And it's not because I'm a cover model)

I’m 4’11” and the clothes thing is a real PITA. I have the added bonus of having a size 5 foot. At age 56, now I am fine with people thinking I am younger.

Menopause accelerated the difficulty with maintaining my weight. I have upped my exercise and changed it to focus on lifting more than cardio.

Generally, I don’t mind being petite except when I can’t reach something in my house even with a step stool.

I am short and I can normally find pants - Jcrew has a short version of their pants, AF has extra short versions. Theory, Veronica Beard all have “cropped ankle pants). And Lululemon has 25inch version and 27inch version of their popular pants.

I’m also 5’11 and love it! I don’t feel like I’m mistaken for a man or trans but men can easily be intimidated by my height. Sometimes they make comments about wanting to have children with me so they can be pro athletes. I guess lesson is a lot of men are creeps regardless of height.

Nope, you don’t make the rules. If people are going to insult tall people, then us tall girls can respond.

I’m 5’2” and wish I was just 2 inches taller so clothes shopping were easier and so I can feel less suffocated in big crowds.

I only appreciate being short while sitting in economy on the plane. But overall still wish I were a littler taller. I don’t like heels either.

I am 5'2" and I love my height. Mainly because I am at a median height for my race. I am 122 lbs and I can look good as long as I am between 120-124lbs. More than that and clothes start fitting poorly.

Advantage of being petite is that most men are taller than me and I can wear shoes with heels without worrying that I will be taller than them.

Not everyone is going for a gymnist body and height.

I’m 5’2 and I’m happy with my height. I don’t want to be taller. But there are some downsides. It is very difficult to manage my weight and finding petite clothes is tough.

It also took until I was about 35 before people stopped telling me at work that I looked too young to be doing my profession. I welcome grey hair now.

And the clothes fitting issue is real.

Otherwise, I don’t mind it at all. It’s easier to make your way through crowds, I have great balance, and economy class on airplanes is less uncomfortable for me than for taller people.

It's terrible for tall people

I'm 5'3" and find that I'm in a frustrating place between regular and petite sizes. The petite inseams and sleeves are usually too short for me, so I end up buying regular sizes that need to be tailored to fit properly.

Pants! I'm 4.11 and if regular pants fit me I would be so much happier. I do have to say that in the last 10 years we've come a long way and I can find better fitting clothes more readily now than ever before.

What I lack in height I make up for in attitude and most men are intimidated (honestly, I've been told). I'm not mean, but I am also no nonsense. I think it's a combo if being Eastern European and being mercelesly teased for my height as a child that I just don't take any shit any more.

5’6”-5’7” was my dream height. Sadly I’m off by a lot.

09:11 - Stores finally started catering to shorter migrants who arrived in last few decades after a century of taller European ones.
