Does he understand that he knows women that have had abortions? He may not know that he knows them, but he most certainly knows them. Is he really okay with them being as good as common murderers the minute they step over certain state borders?

Does he understand that he knows women that have been raped whether he personally knows this detail or not? Is he really okay with having a rapist in power over them?

If he's never been conned himself, he certainly knows people that have been conned. Is he okay with having a con artist sit in the highest office in the country?

Keep trying.

Honestly, he may know some men that have been raped as well, although that is not as common.

But a cis man can not get pregnant

The poster is talking about getting raped.

Yes? And we are talking about women getting raped and impregnanted by their rapists. Which leads to abortion and the question of access

No, the poster was talking about the experience of not only getting raped but then have to watch a rapist be put into the oval office. That is infuriatingly insulting enough without any pregnancies involved.

no advice, op but, I would be very disappointed. I would ask him to not discuss politics when around you and unfortunately I wouldn't want to be around him much.. Considering he has zero sympathy for women in this country and how are rights have been eroded

Oh look. A single, childless cat lady has joined the conversation.

First of all, this is not an insult that you think it is and second I am MARRIED WITH children. We also have cats. Cats are much better than you, vance or donne

PP again. I don't believe you for a second. No mother would make a statement about wanting to spend less time with her son who is away at college, just because of how he voted in the election.

Moms are on guard against maga... Even if it's their own maga. Mega is a bad influence on our sons and a bad influence on our daughters.

Ha. No. It doesn't work that way. Tell me you don't have a teen/ college age son without telling me you don't have a teen/ college age son.

I don't have a son but, you better believe it that I wouldn't want to spend time with him if he voted for donnie.

I most certainly have teen sons and daughters and I also have to deal with their girlfriends and boyfriends.

Wait until he marries a black woman. You will really lose your s**t at the thought of telling your friends your son married a Republican.

Sorry to hear and thanks for answering the questions. On the other end of the age scale, I am a boomer and 2 of my brothers who were hippies when they were in college turned into Trumpers. It is so gross. We pretty much stopped having get togethers because I cannot stand their racism. We weren't raised like that.

Your family of origin is having get togethers. They just are not inviting you. Maybe your son can go to the get togethers since you describe him as much more tolerant and intelligent.

DP Just how many Black women Republicans are there? It isn't the Republican part it is the MAGA. There are a lot of anti-Trump Republicans I can respect.

Yes overturning Roe v. Wade is another enormous issue that requires us to teach our children exactly how screwed up that is and what they need to do to fight back.

You are a failure if you would be so concerned over a child having a different political opinion. Can you imagine how he feels about you

HA! Trump loves the uneducated! And honestly, op is not missing much. If MAGA want to get together than great! But, they aren't intelligent or tolerant.

DP. I can 100% imagine how my Trumper child would feel about me and it's messed up. My maga kid is not getting the values that I'm trying to teach him or her. So I keep trying.

I think it is pretty common for sons to rebel against their mothers politics. Similarly, sons are far far more likely to attend church as adults if their father attended as opposed to their mother alone.
My husband got dragged to a Hillary rally in the 90s and became a high school Republican probably just to annoy his mother. My cousin was exactly the opposite (right wing mom, became a fullon socialist). Daughters seem to go along with their parents.

Still trying to sort out why the childless cat ladies are concerned about access to abortions.

But isn't the argument for abortions is so that women who are raped will not have to deliver the child conceived in crime.
