Real evidence, not biased sources. For example, if he claims Project 2025 isn’t that bad, pull up the actual document. No need for secondary sources here. It is all spelled out. If he says the Trump indictments are dems weaponizing the justice system, pull up the actual 34 documents. Again, straight to the primary sources. It won’t happen overnight, but teaching him to use reliable sources to become informed is the most helpful thing you can do for him. Give him time. Keep having conversations. Good luck, OP.

Many people voted explictly against the democrat party agenda. You had better start facing up to that. I'm talking about the hate-America-first, endless uncontrolled immigration, woke, soft-on-crime, no common-sense agenda. Nothing overcomes that.

Did you hear it? Have you taken note?

Not the message I am getting. democrats are for reproductive healthcare for women, healthcare costs, addressing climate change, common sense gun control. Poll after poll has shown that the majority of Americans are aligned with these issues.

Sadly most voted against their own self interests.

NP. Democrats are also for the entire transgender agenda that no one sane wants. They lied about the border crisis until they couldn't get away with their lies any longer and rolled back the Trump initiatives keeping the crisis in check. They lied about the problem of inflation and then expected credit for stemming the problem they claimed didn't didn't exist. They overreacted to the pandemic and spearheaded school closures that set back a generation of the most vulnerable students. They propped up a cognitively impaired president and colluded with the media to lie about his faculties. I could go on.

Democrats seem to be really mad that voters saw both the good and the bad that Democrats stand for and decided the overall package was inferior. Too bad you're judged not just by what you want voters to see, but by everything you're doing.

Cult of stupidity strikes again nothing you wrote is factual.

What a gullible fool you are! Everything PP said is verifiable and true.

This. I am an unaffiliated swing voter who usually votes Democrat. Not this year. I won’t be voting Dem again until they have sane policies on crime and DEI and the transgender nonsense stops.

Um, ok, but a president who didn’t accept the 2020 election results, tried to invalidate my vote and millions of others because he lost? That person is ok to be potus?

Many voters picked what they saw as the lesser of two evils. More saw the Democratic candidate and policies as worse, despite the personal character deficiencies in the Republican candidate.

Trump is not the "lesser of two evils." He attempted a coup against Congress while it was validating election results. If you support him, at least stop calling yourself a patriot. Because you support denying your fellow citizens their rights. You support a violent insurrection. Trump should be in jail. And you should be ashamed to call yourself a citizen of this country.

Given that Trump tried everything he could think of to overturn my vote and that of millions of Americans, I took it very personally when an extended family member said they support him. I want nothing to do with him.

Forget Trump's policies and his immorality. He is a traitor who belongs in jail for sedition. If those reacting to OP here can't understand why this isn't just politics to us, then you're being deliberately obtuse.

Are you equally distraught about democrats throwing away your Biden primary vote?

Except now they're gradually realizing that the Republican policies are all lies, smoke and mirrors, and worse than the Democrat policies. It really just boiled down to a collection of overblown grievances, like transmen taking over womens sports and so on...

Hey genius, the new administration hasn’t taken over yet. And many of us love how the prep is going so far.

No I am certainly not. There is a vast difference between the violent mob that went into the Capitol chanting about hanging the Vice President, and an internal party decision. Do you not get that? Aren't you ashamed to be a Trump supporter given what happened on Jan 6? How in the world do you sleep at night?

Given the climate we live in, I would be disappointed, but not sad. Certain shocked as well - if anything, I think my teen dd is too woke, so if she turns up MAGA in the future, that would shock me.

I didn’t vote for Trump because I can’t stomach the guy and his abrasive personality, but I actually agree with his party’s view (generally speaking) about immigration and wokeness. In that regard, I’m hopeful for this government. Not glad, but hopeful.

So, maybe your son is just like me, the only difference is that he took the plunge and actually voted for the guy?

That was Biden’s fault. He threw everyone under the bus with his decision to run again and not being able meet the demands of doing so.
