$85 per player and they require 12 players on each team. Add that up and you realize who owns the new Ferraris out front.
We're really going to miss you this year. Happy Holidays!

Dang. What a zinger....
Big backer of Karens, are you? We'll put you in the "I have a complaint!" line.

Attention everyone, Attention!! We have a badass here, bow down to their authority! MJ gonna learn
How did you get from A to B there? Must be tough to process anything during a typical day for you.

Oh MJ, so witty and clever. Don’t strain yourself to come up with another one….

How’d todays show go?

Seemed to go fine. All the players seemed happy to be there. Been there for a lot of years. I'm sure if we're patient we can get some complaints piled up from parents, though.

Lax parents on DCUM can hate on anything but Fall Brawl is one of the best lacrosse events of the year

Fall Brawl is awesome.

DCUM trolls never step forward to host their own not-for-profit, perfectly organized, and refereed tourneys. I wonder why that is?

Many of the comments on this thread are deeply flawed. Several of these posts are clearly written by ignorant tolls. Here is the actual truth:

1 none of the teams are put together by the rec organizations themselves. It’s all done by parents/volunteer coaches.

2. None of the teams are organized around travel clubs.

3. Kids on clubs are the most likely to participate b/c kids on clubs are the most interested in lacrosse.

4. Fall brawl is one of the least expensive lacrosse events around.

5. In game Safety/reffing at FB is equivalent to most tournaments I go to.

If you want to criticize FB - there are a few things you can say:

1. The lack of scoring tables at the games are a real problem/ it causes unnecessary confusion and controversies as well as takes away from the reffing

2. Oakton is an inappropriate venue for such a large event. Parking is terrible, parents do not get a good view of the game and there are real safety issues with balls flying into the crowd.

3. Most teams are organized around the parents social groups. So every year a few kids get left out because thier parents aren’t friends with the right people

Valentines Shootout is what you are thinking of. Sign ups usually open around this time of year.

We got the email 2 weeks ago. Yes- registration is open. ValentineShoorout.com
Same venue- South Lakes. MUCH better venue.
Thank goodness they moved away from Old Redskins park/Word Of Grace fields were getting bad, and parking was very difficult.

Do you know how much the team fee is?

To the 12u Dulles South Coach thhat choose to be an a$$clown in team handshakes and tell our kids and coaches we have ruined rec lacrosse, I ask you to look in the mirror. Your entire team was club team helmets. So STFU and sorry your team lost. Dulles South created this issue years ago with brining in travel kids. Be a bigger person and tell your kid to hit the wall.

Only sorry you only probably heard this after you could confront him.
Our generation of parents and coaches did not learn much from our own parents.

Parent behavior was absolutely atrocious today. Kudos to the refs that had zero tolerance and booting parents from the field.

News flash… Dulles south sucks and have cheated constantly for years. Pot calling the kettle black. Their kids will show this type of attitude when they get to HS as well.

Nice. Parents suck. At least the bad end of the spectrum does. Crazy how unaware so many of them are.

Dulles South getting run over was the highlight of the day. If you want to play the game, be prepared to have someone play it better than you. Don’t whine about it when it happens.

Current coach, former ref here.

There is zero need for two refs in this tournament.

I thought Oakton was a great location, and everything ran smooth.

We’re very lucky to have a rec based local tournament in the area. The kids had a blast.

Can’t wait to do it again next year.
