SR struggled but was missing a lot of talent. HC looked good too.

Visi missing their best player looked surprisingly good. Did they pick up any transfers?

My observation is that Visi just featured some of their younger talent yesterday. Some strong sophomores there, and Junior HG player went off. And they didn't have their Freshman playing either. Folks on the other thread who have discounted Visi, may have done so prematurely. That said, SR didn't have 5-6 of their top players, and the Saints weren't there at all.

I recall people saying Visi has a horrible Sophomore class. I thought I heard they got a transfer from a VA school.

The general consensus is that the 2028 DMV class is seen as somewhat weak, with its talent scattered across multiple schools, including public schools in Virginia. The sophomore class at Visi reflects this situation. As far as I know, there hasn't been a transfer from Virginia to Visi, but unless it's a top-tier player (e.g., someone from M&D Black or Hero's Green) it wouldn't significantly impact things anyway.

Visi has 3 freshman who will see the field this year. One who was a starter by the end of last year. Not a bad class.

Good to see them get more girls making an impact yesterday. They will be good.

But so will SR, SSSA, and Potomac. I don’t think this result tells us anything.

Visi you rock at collecting Cotton T-shirts.

The recent discussion is more about how weak their sophomore class is, which is something I’m sure some other “top” ISL teams can relate to.

So if this is about current freshmen, just curious how one was a starter “by end of last year” as an 8th grader? Visi has one really good freshman who is a tall midi. That’s about it.

Sorry. There is very little talent in the public schools. Battelfield debates are so dumb. No one even knows what Battlefield is.

Agreed. If the Battlefield kids are smart, and as good as folks say, they should transfer to a private ASAP to play with and against the top talent. Also looks good on a resume if the goal is to play in college.

Lol, I’ve said this on here before, about different classes having different talent levels, and one dork goes absolutely insane about it. Agreed, the DC 2028 class has talent, just not a ton of it.

That was a typo. I meant sophomores. Visi has 3 sophomores who will see the field. Really 4 now that I think about it. Not a bad class at all. One or 2 of them could be big time players this year

Visi freshman were robbed in a braveheart vs HC. They also lost to PVI and SR 8th graders.

8th graders? Do they not have freshman to play in the JV div? What happened to this "deep" team??

It was a mix of SR 8th and 9th graders in the JV bracket, which SR won.
