I am 5’0” and DH is 5’6” and son was around 10%. Predicted to be 5’5. Late puberty, hit 5’7” so we are happy. Sister was also predicted to be 5’5” and topped out at 5’4”.

Track how? My son always has been relatively shorter than his peers, but moved from the 3rd percentile in preschool and K to around the 37th percentile by the time he was 16. I consider that better than expected.

Growth hormones?

Growth hormones can help increase a sons odds.

Were the predictions off of growth chart or a calculator? Just curious.

DS14 was a preemie with eating issues, and we were thrilled when he finally made it onto the chart as a 3YO. Since then he has crept up steadily--he was in the 10%, then the 18-25% percentile for a number of years and was 50% for both H/W at a recent visit. He still seems on the small side though compared to his peers, but def not done growing. He's about 5'4" now; DH is 5'7" and I'm 6'0"--but who knows?

That was from an endocrinologist based on measurements, family history, bone scan, etc. with no issues, just a late bloomer and short family history.

You used growth hormones? Was it medically necessary?

My dd was supposed to just hit 5 feet and she didn't quite make it. She is just taller than Simone Biles. Oh well!

My DS was barely over 5' at 14 (like 5'1"). He's now 19 and a bit over 5'11", and maybe still growing. Late bloomer, like both of his parents. DH is 6'2", I'm barely 5'. I don't think DS will hit 6'2", but maybe 6'. I think a lot depends on when the kid hits puberty.

Well, he ended up at a good height considering family history. When you say late bloomer, what age did he start puberty?

I'm 5'2" and my son is now 6'1". As a child he was always around 70th percentile, taller than average in his class but never the tallest. He just shot up in high school and continued a little growth in college.

Man...it was tough in college being under 6'. My dream is that we'll use CRIPR one day to fix this problem. Every man should be given his due at a minimum of 6'2"

How tall should women be if men are at least 6”2?
