Antisemitic harassment in DC

Anonymous
This is interesting.

The woman is a bit of a Karen and kind of racist. The man is a bit of a jerk and made a comment about Jews so he’s kind of antisemitic.

Do they cancel each other out in the victim Olympics? Or is antisemitism the absolute worst “ism” there is and that gets double points?

There isn't really an argument to be had on the bike/SUV part, either -- he was parked in a bike lane.

The video is unclear. It looked like he was parked in a traffic lane, not only bike line.

It really does look like there is plenty of room to go around.

She is carrying a toddler. A mother in Chicago who was also biking with her toddler thought she had “plenty of room to go around” and ended up being hit by another vehicle, with the crash killing her kid. So I can hardly blame for not wanting to go around. Bike lanes exist to make it safer to bike around DC. Cretins like the anti-Semite here make biking even more dangerous than it would be if the lanes didn’t even exist. They should be called out for the selfish pelicans that they are.

How in the world is she “kind of racist”? How in the word is asking someone to stop endangering others being a “bit of a Karen”? I am genuinely curious and will wait patiently for your response.

To summarize:

1. The man is blocking the bike lane, which is illegal and endangers bicyclists.
2. The man made anti-Semitic comments.
3. actually there is no 3.

I was thinking the same thing. This woman advocated and voted for what she is now receiving. Who could have seen it coming?

Yes, who could have seen that public protests in response to specific heinous acts of police brutality could have resulted in the collapse of basic functions of policing like traffic enforcement? If that was you, you have our undying admiration.

It was pretty obvious at the time. Didn’t need a crystal ball.

Right and we must ensure that no one in America ever complains again about any future incidents of police brutality lest our forces abrogate even more of the responsibilities necessary to ensure a modicum of public safety.

The entire country melted down and the we were told everything had to change because a career criminal with covid ODed on fentanyl in police custody.

Care to share with us your revision of other historical events? The holocaust, for instance?

she’s not racist at all and he is 100% antisemitic. come on. on what planet is asking a black man to move his car “kind of racist” but express negative comments about Jews just “kind of” antisemitic?

I was very confused about this too, but I think that her child in the basket must be facing her, and she's moving towards the man. Article says she waited 15 minutes. He was an ass, but she should have just walked around when it was clear.

No way I am putting my child or me behind the CAR of a man who just told me "your life is not my concern". NO EFFING WAY. Then when he throws it in reverse and kills her you'll all be saying "why wouldn't you just wait?".

This. She is not a Karen and this guy is the trash here. He could have even said any amount of other horrible stuff, but the "you guys are the devil" and telling her her life is "not his concern" crosses this over from pure A Hole actions into Racist POS actions. He ramped into a place that felt incredibly unsafe. I am not Jewish and I could barely breathe watching this. It's disgusting.

No one is putting their life at risk BEHIND THIS GUY'S CAR. He made it clear he doesn't care if she dies. He is one step away from physical violence. You don't think this is the type of person to reverse into this woman and kill her and her kid? You are wrong.

Please explain how she was racist.

I mean all this drama because the biker didn’t want to go around a parked car?

This is a confrontation between a Karen and a jerk. It’s what I imagine Central Park Karen would be if she hadn’t targeted such an upstanding guy. Bike lane Karen chose wisely.

Exactly! Even if it wasn't for his horrible anti-semitic comments, he is 100% in the wrong for blocking anyone in the bike lane, much less a woman with a child on her bike. He is just a horrible person period.

All this drama because a mother didn't want to endanger her child to accommodate a driver's illegal actions.

Honest to Pete, who are all these people who apparently hate bicyclists more than they deplore anti-Semitism, and which rocks did they crawl out from under?

Wow, you're just as bad as him. And I'm saying this as a person who generally considers bikers obnoxious and entitled but this woman did nothing wrong. Check yourself.
