Sorry, but there is no rehab for someone with a rap sheet like his and who is regularly and routinely engaging in sexually concerning behaviors toward women. St. Elizabeth's is where he needs to go and to stay.

This man put a woman in the hospital and masterbated in front of 2 yr olds. This was not his first offense. He was charged with MISDEMEANORS. Let that sink in. Sexual abuse of a child and beating someone so badly they are hospitalized are misdemeanors in DC. It’s not that people don’t report crime, it’s that the officials of this city have decided it doesn’t care.

1) according to the Washingtonianproblems insta post threads many admit they didn’t press charges. And then others claim they went to police and were told there is no point bc he will just be released by EOB. I encourage people to read it. There are also references to Next Door posts about him. It’s mind blowing.

2) so I will go ahead and say what people won’t say: he wanted money to buy more drugs. According to twitter/x and insta, he frequented an open air drug market area that is close by and he was often aggressively harassing people for money.

3) some of the kids were under 1, 2-3 teachers for 30 babies and toddlers. In the video there is a construction or sanitation worker who comes running and then some other people from across the street while the man is clearing flailing around with his pants coming down. He’s on the far right.

Some men ran to help and God bless them for doing so. If the situation had gone sideways, they would be the ones in jail right now and not the criminal.

He is repeated sex offender, why is this being brushed off. He has a long history of exposing his genitals and masterbating in public, often in front of children. And now he’s violent when doing it, which IMO makes him a violent sex offender.

All the hand holding of “he needs special support” has gotten us to the point of him physically assaulting 2 women and sexually assaulting over 30 kids under 3. He needs to be locked up and on the sex offender registry. Not this slack on the wrist or boo hoo he’s on drugs crap. I know of plenty of homeless drunk/drug addictions but none of them are pulling their d!cks out and jerking around in front of little kids or anyone else. WTH!

Separate note - anyone who works in local DC news reporting able to speak to how sh*tty their investigations are into occurrences such as this? I mean, if the DC Crime Facts can easily pull information on an outstanding bench warrant and prior arrests, why on earth is local DC news not even doing basic routine checks to find and report this information on violent offenders?

There’s a go fund me. I hope all of the people who are “working” to get Russell “help” for his “mental health” are also paying to resolve the consequences of his actions.
