It's a state requirement.

Yes I am aware. But why isn’t the requirement also to send the scores to families?

Because all Maryland schools, including MCPS schools are struggling, so it doesn’t benefit the state or local school officials to release results in any timely manner. Also need to prep the battle field by making sure folks believe the stuff some have posted here, like how the test is bogus and we really shouldn’t pay attention to the results once they’re released anyway.

Mcps is struggling because they took away traditional teaching, no behavior standards, refuse parent involvement, little homework to reinforce concepts, no textbooks and at best a few novels a year.

Oh no that's wrong and complete nonsense. It's just a new test that had never been used and is poorly calibrated. The results aren't meaningful.

Correct. Everyone in MCPS is doing great! It’s just a bad test! Nothing needs to change.

One of my kids who had qualified for the AIME also didn't pass this the other year so would agree.

I love these crazy fictions. There's bears no semblance to my kid's experience.

It's cute to see the fantasy world you live in vs reality. Hope to see you here someday!

Because my kid was tested, and I want to know how he did. Parents have a right to their scores, and MCPS an obligation to send them in a timely manner.

It's a state test. MCPS has nothing to do with it. And likely wants to remain uninvolved since it's notoriously bad test and makes it's predecessor Parc look amazing.

Blame the state of Maryland, not MCPS. Get out of here with that entitled attitude as well. MCAP is notorious for coming back late and the results usually end up being meaningless for teachers as well because they come out so late in the year, the kids are either almost out or already out, so they cannot use the scores to drive classroom instruction.

MCPS received the results from the state a long time ago, back in January but has not distributed the results.
