| Will the school have our kids take the MCAP in a few weeks without even disclosing the scores from last year? 🙄 |
| I got my kid’s already. |
When? What grade? |
10th. Don’t remember what day. |
| Got ours yesterday. Just curious, what do you do with these scores? |
| Current 5th grader hasn’t received his scores from last year |
I use them as an additional data point for IEP services. However, they aren't terribly useful when you receive them a year after taking the test. |
| If your child is struggling in any way it is a helpful data point. |
What grade? It would be helpful to know what current grades are receiving or have received the scores. Thanks |
By mail? |

The state has provided MCPS access to the electronic copies of the individual reports since January. MCPS could have uploaded them to ParentVue account and/or printed them to mail to households. They don’t have to wait to get printed copies from the state, if that is the supposed delay
You have a right to your child’s report. If you want it, email the supervisor of the testing and reporting unit to request it, and keep following up until she provides it. Her contact info is here: https://ww2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/directory/directory_Boxoffice.aspx?processlevel=62501 |
You understand this is an unproven test for which there's no actual control or basis for comparison. The scores are meaningless. |
Why should MCPS have to distribute this silly state test anyway? It's kind of the state's job. |
Throw in the trash. They don't mean anything. I hope they adopt a standard national test where this would at least mean something... The only value this has is to compare against other MD counties. |
| I don't understand why the school scores are on school digger but the MD report card still says that scores will be updated by the end of February which clearly didn't happen |
