All Maryland students participating in the Spring 2022 assessments will receive an Individual Student Report (ISR).
This report enables educators and families to better understand a student’s proficiency on Maryland content standards individually and in comparison, to peers in their school, county or city, and the State. The 2021-2022 assessment results, including disaggregation of data by LEA and student groups, will be published on the Maryland Report Card website. Individual student data has been provided to the LEAs, and printed student reports will be sent to the LEAs in March. Results in the future will be made available more expeditiously following the completion of the administration of the assessments. |
| Basically MCPS has had them since at least January |
My friend at the central office says the state's been sitting on them because they realized the test is broken and are deciding whether to throw it away. |
| Well it looks like they decided to release them according to the press statement. |
The state is not sitting in them. MCOS has access to electronic reports for all students who took them. We wrote and received a copy of our child’s report. |
| It’s now April and MCPS still has not mailed them out. This is ridiculous. |
| When will the state realize that testing students on standards, not taught content, is a waste of time? The reading passages are random. They aren’t what students are taught. A poor kid probably won’t do well due to lack of background knowledge. Test students on the actual curriculum if you want legit scores. |
Already got my kids last month. Did you look in Parentvue? |
+1 |
| We haven’t received ours either — by snail mail or in ParentVue. And MCPS definitely has them - MSDE confirmed MCPS has had electronic access to individual reports since January. |

Across MD, only 7% of 8th graders are proficient in the math section. Most other grades are closer to 20%.
This is why everyone bailed on PARCC. Maryland just renamed it. It's an extremely difficult test with overly complicated questions. |
| My child is supposed to take mcap again 5th grade now. If mcps thinks it’s a useless test and won’t share scores from last year then why are they taking another one this year? This is so stupid. |
| I was a test coordinator and let me tell you, there are many adults who would struggle on the elementary math and ELA MCAP assessments. MAP is so much more reflective of a student's abilities than the crappy MCAP tests. |
It's a state requirement. |
