Pecan pie is disgusting.

Most American desert recipes have too much sugar/sweetener.

Kraft singles (or similar “American” cheese) is inedible and only people who have no taste would eat it.

I don’t judge. And with nut free schools and other kid activities you often most bring in store bought stuff to show it’s but free.

Mahout your mouth. Mango and sticky rice is one of the best desserts ever.

Not really snobby, but standards. I am not special ordering wheels and I will even eat Traders Joe’s Parmigiano Reggiano, but I absolutely would rather go without than try and grate/shave that rubbery Belgioioso tainted triangle. Even worse is the pre-grated.

Also, pre-cubed cheap Athenos or some such feta is a salt lick and an abomination. Feta needs to come boxed in a block with brine.

That “center of the Brie” spread that comes in a triangle-shaped tub.

Grilled cheese without American cheese is not grilled cheese.

Mayo, not low class. It’s an essential condiment. Hidden Valley ranch dressing is low class

Hahaha, Miracle Whip is the low class mayonnaise wannabe!

I prefer a four cheese grilled cheese with rustic sourdough, but there is something incredible soothing about a Diner grilled Kraft single on white with a pickle and chips.

I am convinced everything is sweeter (and in a different way) than it was when we were kids. I was trying to find a lower sugar bread for my kids and picked up one that was advertised as such only to find it had stevia in it. What's wrong with things being just...not sweet?

Really? I have no problems finding all of the above without sugar. Just read labels and there are plenty of options

I am sort of appalled at how much sugar has been demonized in recent years. Many of you don’t remember the similar treatment “cholesterol” got and how we would recoil from butter. Pasta used to be considered a healthful choice in the 90s. I like to add a little sugar to my red sauce to balance the acidity.

Those recipe videos you see online of people making "easy" dinners and adding a brick of cream cheese look disgusting.

It is impossible to have a decent pasta in the US unless prepared by an actual Italian from Italy.
