This is annoying, but not snobbish.

Maybe expand beyond Panda Express?

Nope, I've lived and eaten Chinese food in NYC, San Francisco, and the DC area (including Rockville and Wheaton), and I think it's gross.

I've never eaten at Panda Express.

Yes, I said it.

This is just preference, not snobbery.

I won't bother eating a pie crust if the crust isn't homemade.

I now only buy Kerrygold butter - LOL takes oily and bland to me now.

But then....

I love stale puffy Cheetos (more than fresh) and love "corn puffs" (also stales) best of all.

So ... I have these snobbish opinions, but have weird low-brow tastes too.

Most snobbish food opinions are based on complete ignorance of regional cuisine and sometimes complete ignorance of an entire culture. They are sort of classist too, but most of it is just ignorance.

And what food do you prefer?

I don't eat at chain restaurants where all the food comes pre-packaged and microwaved - looking at you, Chili's/Applebee's/Ruby Tuesday's/TGI Friday's/Olive Garden/Red Lobster/Maggiano's/etc. The sad thing is, most if not all of these places used to actually cook food in their establishments and were at least decent. Private equity-driven corporate cost-cutting at its finest.

Similarly, when it first opened, Noodles & Company was great - hearty portions of freshly prepared food. Now it's disgusting pre-made slop.
