Many younger voters aren't realizing impact of economy yet and are buffered by their parents and student loans. Older voters will be at the polls, too-- and very much aware.

Many clueless old people don’t want to admit that abortion is an economic issue and are buffered by no longer having to worry about that aspect of their life.

And many older women remember the girls who went away and the women who died. People are very much aware.

Sanders again sounding like a ringer for the right wing. How can that batty old man not understand that abortion is an economic issue? Is he not smart enough to make the connection between abortion and economics for his voters? Argh.

Sanders is focused, like most left wing politicians throughout history, on advancing the material causes of the proletariat / working class. People like you are libertarians who shroud themselves in “left wing” clothing and care more about virtue signaling for social credit than actually materially benefiting the working class. Fact of the matter is that a lot of “leftists” nowadays only care about advancing the concerns of UMC, overeducated white people and everyone else’s concerns (black, brown, and white) are thrown aside. Look no further than all of these UMC whites using “Latinx” and being “woke” about LGBTQ issues but not having the same level of energy and support for unionizing efforts at Amazon.

Or you, shorter: I don’t care what happens to women.

I can’t even explain how much more I would rather have calm, rational Democratic hands at the helm than the seditious, traitorous and anarchist GOP.

I certainly hope Moore is correct.

I don’t watch cable news, but I do have kids and I do know how much they cost from prenatal care forward. I wonder why you think pregnancy and birth and child rearing is free for working class women? Like in what world do you think that abortion is divorced from economic issues?

Why do you insist on painting women as one-dimensional figures?? We can walk and chew gum at the same time. In real life we have to juggle more than one thing at a time. Stop defining us solely by our reproductive systems.

Np- Well nothing makes women juggle more than one thing at a time, than another kid.

Well, I have always said that it's always when there is a formula shortage, and you have a newborn on one breast, and a toddler at your feet with neither money for nor available spaces in daycare ... yeah, that's when your mind turns most sweetly to all of the economic pressures that have nothing to do with your reproductive system.

The point was that abortion is one of the many things working class women care about, which was Sanders’ point as well. People like you like to patronize women and paint them as one issue voters and marginalize the depth of their concerns for other issues. It is as patronizing as saying Latinos only care about immigration.

The most fervent “forced birthers” are Republican women, not Republicans men by the way:

https://www.npr.org/2019/06/07/730183531/poll-majority-want-to-keep-abortion-legal-but-they-also-want-restrictions

Republican women are the only group to say overwhelmingly that life begins at conception. About three-quarters said so, compared with less than half of Republican men and a third of Democratic women.

It's a reminder that Republican women, in many ways, are the backbone of the movement opposing abortion rights.

75 percent of Republican women and 33 percent of Democrat women think life begins at conception. Women have a wide range of opinions on this issue, but reductive ideologues like you like to paint a picture to devoid of life’s nuances.

Women have a wide range of opinions on a lot of issues, but none of the economic ones are neatly and completely divorced from reproductive concerns -- despite the fact that ideologues like you like to paint a picture to devoid of that reality.

It is the republicans that have spent tremendous effort to force that opinion on everyone. The Democrats tolerate a variety of opinions on this issue. If you believe life begins at conception, the Democrats will respect you as long as you don't force it on those who do not believe this.
