Seriously, he's made two seriously big (right) calls when like 95%+ of the political punditocracy was going the other way.

A general rule of thumb is to look at what DCUM is prognosticating and then pick the exact opposite result.

Real Clear Politics has Republicans picking up the House and Senate because they take whatever the polls are and then factor in how almost every poll was way off in Trump’s favor in the last election. The polls you are seeing haven’t taken into account that a large portion of Republican voters are conspiracy nuts who are lying to pollsters and in races like the AZ and OH Senate races only a few weeks ago did the R candidates see any investment in ads by outside funding sources. Expect a complete route by Rs in November and take all the polls you see and keep in mind how off they were in the past few election cycles. Every poll that shows Dems winning by 5 is really a dead heat.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

This really aged well.

Perhaps they were meaning to restrict themselves to predicting a complete rout by Rs in Guam.

I agree with Moore. I also think the polling is having a difficult time picking up the impact of abortion being on the line. It’s going to cause weirdness in the turnout models and potentially cross-voting by Republican women who won’t admit to voting for a Democrat.

This isn’t a normal midterm election.

Yup. People would rather have abortion than be able to afford the basics.

I’m so sick of forced birthers trying to play off their hatred of women by pretending that bodily integrity isn’t the most primal right.

And kids aren’t free. Why do you keep pretending that the 3-7 additional kids women can expect to have when the GOP outlaws abortion? And don’t pretend like that’s some weird fringe idea that won’t just become the next thing you freaks focus on.

How can you be on birth control and have 7 more kids?

I can't get birth control because my employer thinks it's a sin. However, the health care plan we use does get my husband viagra. We are having a lot of sex.

Why is it your employer's responsibility to provide your birth control?

Why is it her employer’s responsibility to provide Viagra?

Oh it's far worse than that. Medicare pays for my dad's Viagra! WHY are tax dollars paying for other people's sex? It's disgusting!

Indeed. And if anyone wants to drink some MAGA tears of unfathomable sadness, and you have SiriusXM, listen to Dan Abrams’s show on POTUS from today about Trump vs. DeSantis. He’s a moderate but gets lots of right wing callers and they are positively rending their garments.

They still won’t course correct. We’re not done with maga, not by a long shot. They were rending their garments after losing in 2008 and 2012, too; they just doubled down on the crazy.

They are in a bind. It’s 30 % of their base. They can’t abandon them and win elections.

I think a lot of media takes are influenced by corporate wishful thinking. The media has a vested interest in this pendulum swing and horse race. Michael Moore was just calling it as he saw it.

I wouldn't call this a huge win unless huge has another meaning I am not aware of.
