Did you read Amnesty International's latest that said the Ukrainian army sets up firing bases in hospitals and schools, thus inviting fire on the civilians? Russia doesn't get a pass of course but this news puts a different spin on the Russians' insistence that they don't hit civilians by design.

The world may eventually come to see this conflict as less light against dark (as painted currently) and more as the tussle of equally shady countries.

Trust me, if europe was more economically risilient, pumping 30-50 billion a year in arms to turn Ukraine into Afghanistan right on the doorstep of Russia is a HUGE geostrategic win and cost effective.

Ukraine will run out of people before Russia, and Ukraine may decide that it's in their best interest to reconcile with Russia than to be an American toilet or sand paper. Don't you think?
