Not much better. I don’t want a stupid doctor.

Yes, the queers are certainly known for this kind of vindictiveness. /s

Well, guess what. You probably have one or more already. You just don't know it.

If she stuck the patient twice on purpose then it is intentional malice. From her tweet it sounds like this is the case. She stuck the patient again after they made a comment regarding her pronoun pin. I don’t know if this was a blood draw or inserting an IV but sticking a patient multiple times increases the chances of infection, bruising and obviously pain.

Did she say that? Or did you say that?

“I missed his vein so he had to get stuck twice”. You can interpret that as intentional or not but either way she took pleasure in doing it and gleefully tweeted about it for woke points.

Doesn't matter if it was intentional. It's her glee at hurting someone.

And then posting about it.

If you are going to be a doctor, you will have to learn to treat people form all walks of life including the mentally ill, the homophobic, the racist, the antisemite,, the mysoginist etc.

You don't get to pick and choose your perfect patient. Your job is to heal, not to judge.

Her tweet was a mistake. No doubt. No one here is arguing about that. The real question though is whether she deliberately harmed the patient. I don't think so but some people here (like yourself) do. I can't prove what she was thinking at that moment, neither can you.

I'm getting really tired of Doctor Influencers on social media. Many of them are idiots, between trying to advertise their "perfect" lives and spouting off on issues unrelated to the very specific medical expertise.

I am the mother of a transgender child. Please don't withhold or offer second rate medical care to patients on my child's behalf.

If you want to honor trans kids and adults, be kind to people.

I think medical professionals should not voice personal opinions or share anything other than pertinent medical information on social media posting as medical professionals. If you want to post something personal leave your credentials off your account. Too much personal stuff is out there that I don’t want to know as a patient especially political beliefs.

It is foolish and delusional to think members of any self-identified group do not have members who will be gleefully cruel. History certainly does not support such an assertion.

That is disgusting and I hope she is reprimanded. She is openly admitting to medical malpractice. Medical professionals encounter a variety of patients from different backgrounds with different beliefs but they have an obligation to do no harm and provide the same standard of care. She clearly posted this on Twitter so she could virtue signal and get praised but it had the opposite effect.

That’s pretty obvious to me too. she was very wrong and should be disciplined. The patient was also a complete ass. However, two wrongs do not make a right.

And Twitter says she is being disciplined by the school.

Disciplinee for what? No one believes she intentionally did anything.

She missed the patient’s vein after they made a comment regarding her pronoun pin. How was that not intentional?

People drawing blood miss pretty often and if the patient was laughing and talking and distracting someone new at having their blood drawn, it's more likely to happen.

I would never condone intentionally sticking someone an extra time, but there is a certain irony if the patient distracted her with his own stupidity, it would be hard to feel sorry about that.

Posting what she did was incredibly stupid.

DP but I think their point is this is just another example of a trans activist making things worse for the transgender community. Displaying intolerance for wrong think and then proudly tweeting about it makes her look unhinged and poorly reflects on those she is supposedly advocating for. Rather than sticking the patient twice perhaps she could have kindly explained why she wears a pronoun pin.

+1 I agree with this. I have transgendered friends and if someone says the wrong pronoun by mistake, it’s not a huge deal. They don’t freak out and make a scene. More often than not, our friends will apologize and feel bad and it’s over and done. But the people who are calling for some to be jailed or physically harmed for accidentally using the old pronoun, it’s like cmon. Going over the top for an accident is becoming too much and doing more harm.
